Since she seemingly has blown her job interview, where is she going from here? My guess is FOX, or Limbaugh, or someone will take her on as a commentator or talk show host for a 7 figure salary, and she will be around for another 15 years. I know she has steady work now, (how long is the governor's term in Alaska?) but my guess is that she's going to go for the bigger bucks, and try to run again at some point.

Should McCain-Palin lose, she'll be perfectly happy to go back as governor of her state, where she enjoys an approval rating approaching 90%.

A more interesting question might be what's next for Obama. Every single move he's made since going to law school was designed to win the presidency. Where does he go if he loses? Will he be happy as simply 1 of 100 senators, no more or less important than any others? Will he be satisfied chatting up politics with Keith Olbermann on MSNBC is no one's listening? Hmmmm…

For insights into Palin's future, take a look at Dan Quayle.

Obama, if he doesn't win, will be well-positioned to stay in the Senate and try again until he wins the Presidency.

Well, after the debate, DH said, "At least she didn't ruin her political career." :rotfl:

I think she'll go back to Alaska, be a nice governor there, and we'll see who challenges her in 2010.

People perceive a level of corruption in the manner in which she deals with the power she has. I suspect that's affecting her poll numbers, despite how gaining national prominence would typically prompt a substantial increase in a politician's approval rating.

The campaign will keep her in a controlled environment, nowhere she would have to formulate thought, then after Nov 4 she goes to Disney World on vacation.

Her church isn't boycotting WDW? :)

My guess is that if she wanted to run again in Alaska she'd win. But, my thought is that someone is going to make her an offer she can't refuse, and she'll take it. I'm betting a book deal already for a mil.
She will likely knock Andy Coulter out of her spot as the darlin' of the right very easily. That's my guess. (cat fight?)
Generally, we are going to have to live with her presence for another 10 years or so. Luckily, not in DC.
