That was the part of the post I deleted before posting....

I'm currently waiting for a couple e-mails so I can continue with the jobs. E-mail has proven to be a bit of a mystery to these people, and it's been a bit frustrating. They don't answer my questions......They claim their e-mails aren't working.......If they decide to respond it'll be 3 days later.....etc.

I've got 1 of the 3 jobs done already. I should've been a dentist, because it feels like I'm pulling teeth with these particular clients. Mind you, I'm not complaining. I needs da cash.

Oh jeez.....
We just had a pretty fierce hail storm, which turned to heavy rain. When I came back into my room I noticed my ceiling was leaking badly. The only piece of photo equipment I still own, a really good Epson photo printer, appears to have been ruined from having gotten soaked. Why does this stuff happen to me?

Good-ish news from MonorailMan Land

I managed to get three freelance design jobs (all completely unrelated and by different people) within a 24 hour period. These couldn't have come at a better time, trust me.

One of the design jobs I landed was from a woman who is starting her own dance class studio. What's the type of dance that will be taught at this studio, you ask? "Erotic and suggestive" dance for adults.

Here's the sickeningly disturbing part. The woman was referred to me.....by my mother...........who will be teaching one of these classes!!! My mom's been a dance teacher for over 20 years....but........oh jeez.....

Any news Sue?

He didn't have another stroke so that's good news. He's off iv antibiotics but still getting them in pill form and it looks like the pneumonia is under control. We're hoping to get him back into rehab but insurance may not allow it so it looks like he'll be going home ... probably tomorrow. A friend works at the hospital and she said there are 30 people backed up in the ER waiting for beds so they'll kick him out either way. My Mom has a health issue now and we're waiting on test results. Someday things will settle down!

Monorailman - congratulations on the new jobs! That is great news.

Drain all the water out of the printer and then just set it aside for a few days until it's completely dry. You may get lucky with it.

Did you schedule any therapy sessions yet for taking pictures of your Mom doing erotic dancing? (Oh, and are you gonna post any of those pictures?)
