So, I see none of us made a resolution not to complain as much! LOL
Unfortunately, I have to agree, at least on the overall concept, that VMK is getting a bit boring. Were it not for the people in the game, with whom I really enjoy spending our virtual time together, "playing" is kind of dull.
I live for the host games, but i have the attention span of a newt. I would love to see new prizes weekly rather than monthly! Pirates turns frustrating for me because of the poor sportsmanship found amongst non-DIS players, and the amount of time you spend waiting and waiting and waiting for people to join. Fireworks? fugetaboutit! I am so glad they are overhauling the fireworks because at least then it levels the playing field for everyone to have a chance at making some credits. When I started in April, and got decent at fireworks by the end of May, I could consistently get 1,000 credits a game. Once in a while I'd finish top three, and about five times I made it over 240,000. Now, I get thrown out in the third round! Ridiculous. And if I do manage to find a time when all the pros aren't playing, I get a whopping 150 credits. Jungle Cruise? Other than when I am afk (and people cannot understand that my "afk room" means I am afk, and insist on talking to me), JC serves no purpose. Mansion? Really like the game, have no patience for the waiting and waiting and waiting for people to join.
Don't get me wroing, I love VMK and will continue to play with the hopes that something, sometime soon, really catches my fancy. I loved waterpark month, even though I've never been, because it started me in ride building. Halloween costumes and decorations were great, but I personally am not a fan of Halloween as a result of my beliefs. I played along and did the host games and decorated my bottom off, but I'm not a fan. Holiday decorations started way too early in my opinion. I would have liked some Fall decorations in between Halloween and Christmas, include Thanksgiving for us US folks, but I'm sure there are other cultures where a Fall/Harvest theme would have applied. Start the Holiday stuff maybe after the first week of December, then January 2nd, turn it all off.
A hodge podge month? I'm ok with that. I think having a month to decompress from the holiday frenzy is good.
My VMK resolutions are:
1. Wander around public rooms more looking for lost souls to help.
2. Find DIS folks to play pirates and mansion with, and play much more often than I currently do.
3. Continue my passion for host rooms, since many people can't ever get into them and cannot get the items. I get to be host prize fairy and gift some away.
4. Spend more time with more of my virtual friends, all of whom are wonderful folks. And encourage others to join us.
5. Be more patient with the two or three kids on my list who insist on following me around like lost puppy dogs (when what I really want to do is delete them!).
Somebody save the link to this post and remind me of these next time I "go off" about something VMK has done!
