So...What's everyone doing New Years Eve?

Here's what I say...
watch

I am going to try to organize another cart parade tonight at the Fort, however, I don't know how successful I will be considering all the freakin security I keep seeing at night. It kind of spoils the mood and all.....but I will try none the less!

Phyllis...I'd like to rsvp to your shin-dig. :goodvibes

Actually I guess it's going to be fairly quiet here too. In the past we'vd hosted dinner parties and we're kind of expected to again. We do this kid friendly "Brazillian New Years" at 9 pm so the little ones don't feel left out if they get too sleepy for midnight...although coming off these trips and then coming down with a cold I haven't felt like being party-planner extrordinairre so we're keeping it very low-key. I'm thinking low-key will actually be more fun. We'll have over a couple families and some of Meija's friends, eat a little, drink a little, maybe do a fire in the pit. Oh heck, I guess I should start cleaning and cooking.....

working during the day...reading a book tonight...satellite is out at the campground :headache: ...I don't go out on big party nights since soulmate wrecked and killed someone drinking and driving!

So many exciting places to go tonight!!! But........I won't be at any of them. :sad1: No, we'll be home tonight, painting the living room. Will this project ever end? :sad2:

I can't wait to get home to get started on projects! I have paint already there waiting for me! I'd rather be doing that than waiting for the night to end with a good book and a dog who wants to steal my space on the bed lol

Just keep remembering how nice it's going to look after you're finished.

I actually get Frank to finish home projects rather quickly, guess I need to give you some nagging lessons. :lmao:

We're having friends over and consuming lots of alcohol, what else is there to do on NYE???

(All friends will either spend the night, walk home next door, or have prearranged for a cab :cool1: )

I'll trade ya!! I'd rather be finishing the book I'm reading!! I can never seem to get enough time to read it! I'm dying to see how it ends and get started on the next in the saga!!!! :cloud9:

Jen, are you at the ft? We will be there sometime late this afternoon, I found out I booked a premium site, not sure if we will get one. See you later

The kids wanted to have friends over to watch the ball drop and sleep over, but they didn't start calling and inviting until 2 days ago. Surprise, surprise, everyone is already going somewhere. :sad2:

So far we have 2 for the afternoon, and one for the evening/overnight. Should still be fun. Santa brought some good games to play. I'm going to make a BLT dip that someone posted on John's site, and there's still cookies left from Christmas.

I've read 3 books since last week.I've read 2 of the Stephanie Meyer's books (Twilight, New Moon?) and James Patterson's Suzanne's Diary to Nicholas...cried my eyes out with that one...now I'm 3/4 done with Everlasting by Kathleen Woodwiss...I love to read but I am looking forward to finishing up my all Disney House!

If you drag this project into tomorrow, then you can look folk in the eye and say,
"We started this one year and it took us into a second year to finish this one room."

:lmao:

It will be into January. We can't get the flooring until Jan 5, when the company (or it's warehouse) opens up again. They're on vacation until then. Of course it's the same day dh goes back to work after being on vacation, too! :sad2:

We are at the fort. We are getting ready to go to Jen's site. Going to cook out and drink, drink, drink. Then we are going to do a cart caravan to see the fireworks at midnight.

Happy New Year to everyone on this board.
