My bedroom is a large room, yet I am limited with what I can do with it, because of all the windows. My bed can really only go against one wall. If I put it agianst the other windowless wall, it doesn't leave any space for my closet door to open.

I have thought about getting rid of the headboard, and putting the bedframe under the front window, and dressing the window to make it look like it is a fancy headboard. DH is a modesty freak, and he does not want the bed near the window like that.

SIGH.

I really want to move my room around, but I have nowhere else to put the bed. The other thing I can do, is leave the shade down on one window, just put the bed, headboard and all against that. That window is on the side of the house that is fenced in, so nodoby on the outside even knows a window exsists there. But, I do like fresh air in the spring, fall. But 3 out of 4 windows should be good enough for that, right?

I have no decoration skills at all.

Do you have a pic to help? Maybe position the bed coming out of a corner. The headboard does not have to be flat against a wall.

My mother had the same problem. Room actually has no logical place to put bed. :confused3 So, she did what you last suggested --- pulled the shade down, dressed the window larger to match headboard size & placed a shear curtain to hide window a bit more. It's also a window on side of house no one uses.

It looks fine by the way. You don't even realize there is a window there. Sort of just looks like a canopy flat against the wall.

Our room is awkward like that too. We ended up covering up the one wall of windows with a shade and then silky panels. The room kinda has a Moroccan theme so it looks ok. I will try to post a picture.

Found one I had taken a few months ago (don't mind the mess... or the dogs ;) )

I have a room like that as well. Luckily when I bought the house, the furniture that was in the bedroom was almost exactly the same (size and pieces) as my furniture so I knew it would work. I guess architects/builders don't always think about furniture placement. The MB in my previous house was the same with - between windows and closets, and door ways, there was not much wall space.

My current room as a double door from the family room, a double door to the MB, and another wall is almost totally taken up the the slider to the pool!

I have thought about the panel to cover that slider and use that as the wall for the bed, since I don't use that door to go out to the pool - there is another three steps away from the MBath. This pic is from the MBath. I have thought about the "angle" position as well. I might have to try it - even then - there's only one corner I can angle it from! It's not a large MB by any means, but I like it!
