I was on Walt Disney World's home page (I linked to it from www.disney.com.) and I was able to see the operation and construction updates. You can go to Disney World's home page, click on parks, then go down to where they post the park hours for that day. I clicked on the monthly park hours link. That pulls up a calendar for each month. When you click on a specific date on the calendar it will tell you about special events for that day and also what is going on as far as operations and constructions.
Thanks Shells9, the skyway and the 20,000 league attractions are not reported on the WDW website for operations and constructions. However, they are large areas at WDW that are behind large plywood fences! I wonder what the new attractions will be!
Don't get excited just yet about new attractions. The rehab of the skyway station is just to turn it into a stroller parking area. As for the old 20k lagoon, all that has been said is that they're landscaping it for future use. I take that to mean that they don't have any definite plans yet, but they want the space ready for when they finally get off their butts and put something in the budget. It's only been 10 years since the ride closed!
