Seems like the majority of DISers know what the secret porthole rooms are, and of course we all know how popular those "free" portholes have become. Seems to me that the controversial Cat. 6's that were re-classified as Cat. 7's have the same potential for popularity...since I've posted photos and info. on my website, I've heard from several people who have booked them. So what should we call them? The secret plexiglass navs? The non-navigator verandah cat. 7's? Any suggestions?!

um not sure about those but boy am I glad I found out about the secret porthole rooms! 5520 in 6.5wks on the Magic - thank you so much
At dinner tonight DH mentioned that we have an outside window and I said well not really it's booked as inside but we do have a window - thanks to this board (and Michelle)

I agree - "secret verandah" sounds good - less than a verandah like the "secret porthole" is less than a porthole - (but not too much from what Ive been reading)

If you think about it - people had to read about the secret porthole rooms to find out what they were - so if you call them "secret verandah" people will read about them to find out what they are

Seceret Verandah rooms! That's what we should call it! Did Disney in fact re classify those rooms? My second question is which room numbers are they?

Secret Sevens - or - Secret Sixes

CAT Six and a half

Sixes Turned Sevens - or - Tumbling Dice

OK you peaked my curiosity - what are these secret veranda rooms. Will be doing 7 day Magic Western and might be interested in upgrading. We are cat 9 now. Do these rooms have a veranda?

I like 6 and a half!

Can these sleep 4? We looked at Cat. 7, but they say they only sleep 3.

What are these room numbers?
Thanks!
Debra

The secret verandah cabins are 7620, 7120, 6634, and 6134.
We booked 7120 for our 7 night Eastern Caribbean for next fall.

And they all only sleep three. :)

I think the secret verandah rooms is a good name. :)

Since several people asked what these staterooms actually are, they have plexiglass verandahs but have some obstruction due to the curve of the ship. Normally, Category 7 rooms have a navigators verandah, with no plexiglass...it is all enclosed except for a large open porthole. But these are much more like the regular verandah staterooms. I have photos on my website of both types for comparison...they seem like a very good bargain from what we saw when we checked them out during our three-peat.

We were booked in a Navigator's room but just changed it a couple of weeks ago to 7620 for our Dec. cruise. The location seems great..just two flights of stairs up to Deck 9 and close to the aft verandah on Deck 7. I'll be sue to take some pictures and post them!
