So, what makes certain WDW meals inedible?

Our dinner at Raglan Road, the calamari was so greasy it was disgusting....the pasta was hard and crusty, the (beer) meatballs were like little rocks.

Nine Dragons, the food smelled rotten...it was so nauseating I asked them to take it away. The fried rice was hard and crunchy

1900 PF dinner. The food was so salty it was inedible.

The last time (years ago) I ate at the POR food court, I learned one important lesson. If a food court is not busy, the prepared ahead food is probably old.
The only inedible meal I had was there, and it was meatloaf. I should have known better. There was a large pan of it, and no one there.
When I got to the table the meatloaf was cold even. I took only one small bite. It tasted horrible. And thank goodness I only took a small bite. It is the one time I suspect I got sick from Disney food.
So never again if I am in a food court do I order food that looks like it has been there for any length of time.
I should have taken back the meal I had. But that tasted so bad, I did not want to try anything else they had.

Disney hamburgers are not good. They taste like they have lots of filler. So I avoid those too. They are bad burgers, and now apparently have buns to match. ;) :rotfl2:

I only remember one item that was inedible. It was a salad at the Sci-Fi which I don't think they serve any more. It just tasted...weird.

Completely inedible is not something I've ever encountered in my 40 plus visits to WDW. I've eaten at most restaurants and done most buffets and charactoer meals a few times. What ruins it for me is "cold" food that is supposed to hot and "warm" food that is supposed to cold. I want my hot evening meal to be just that and at a busy restaurant your meal can sit around and get cold and that finishes me off. If I order a salad I want fresh greens, not warm and wilted ones.

The buffets are good as long as you arrive during peak serving time, or else you will get something that is possibly over cooked or dry, that's been sitting around and looks and tastes pathetic. You don't have to eat something that's bad, ask for fresh or pick out something else.

CS, well there are certain ones like the Japanese one that use dark chicken without really removing all of those little funky parts so those places usually only get me one time!

Disney Pizza-No can do, not even the kids, so we just don't eat it!

If your food isn't good or hot/cold send it back.

If inedible means unable to eat, then I have to nominate the new whole wheat buns, especially the ones at Casey's.

No bun should be falling part before you've even picked it up, and yet they do. Do not plan on finishing your dog on a bun because it just isn't going to happen unless you enjoy eating your hot dog with a fork and knife, picking up a bit of bun with the meat. Of course, no guarantee the bread will stay on the fork either as it will crumble when you try to insert the tines.

Unfortunately, these buns are found throughout the World on burgers as well.:confused3

Pizza I kinda choked down the first night of arrival at POR.

It was horrible. My son didn't even eat it(we shared) I might have been able to eat more of it if it had been cooked right. It was still very doughy.

It was indeed inedible....well I did eat a piece but that's only because I was starving.

The worst was my son's fish at Rose & Crown. It was fish with no meat inside the skin - just like the turkey in Christmas Vacation!!! Then, the Apple Crumble was served with no crumble and maybe four apple slices swimming in liquid with a teaspoon of ice cream on top. What a joke!! We used to love R&C but it will be awhile before we try it again.

Yes! They are just awful!

Ooooh, these stories are so interesting ...... I never would have imagined some of the meals you guys are describing! Ewww! I guess we were lucky not to counter anything truly gross on our last trip, and we don't eat out at "mass quantity" places like theme parks very often.

Very fishy tasting fish and half raw scallops at the FF.

I've never gotten anything I'd call inedible. I did have the most dried out burger at the ABC Commissary in HS once, and had to put ketchup on every bite, but it was at least hot! Went to Rose & Crown with my DGF a couple years back and she thought the sausages would be imported from Great Britain and when she found out they were made here, she wouldn't eat them! And wouldn't let the waiter bring her anything else. That time, her perception was ruined, not the actual food, I don't think she took more than 2 bites!

In our 8 trips and many CS and TS meals we have honestly experienced only 4 that we didn't enjoy..and only one that was truly inedible.... The Maya Grill @ CSR. :sad2: We ordered 4 meals (2 adults and 2 kids) and we couldn't eat any of them because of the taste/quality.
