For disneyworld? I was talking to a friend and they said they had heard April was a low crowd time. Is that so? and are there any other times?

The general concencus around here seems to be there's no low crowd times anymore. April can be super busy due to school spring and Easter breaks. Easywdw.com is a great website that has a crowd calendar and tips that can help you choose a good time to go. Good luck and happy planning.

Parts of January and February are I think the lowest...I'm not totally sure. We went in Feb 2012 and it was a level 2 most days on the EasyWDW calendar.

Definitely not April. In fact, April can be one of the busiest times of year, depending on how spring break and Easter holidays fall.

It's getting more and more crowded year-round, but October and January are still good times for low crowds.

I think late April can be fairly decent. But you just can't generalize about April. It really depends on where Easter and school breaks fall.

Here now, October is definitely not low crowds, was in Magic Kingdom on Wed. and met a family who said they come every April and have never seen it as busy as we saw it that day. Since a lot of schools are switching to year round calendars October is not low crowds anymore.

October is still relatively slow; however the parks are just so crowded year round now that the only real slow times IMO are in February (avoid Presidents' Day) and the last week of January

The earlier in April you go I believe it would be much busier as that is usually when Spring Breaks and Easter can fall.

We went the first 2 weeks of May and found that the crowds levels were quite manageable.

Last week of August is still good if you can deal with the horrendous weather, but if you can go the week after Labor Day, the crowds are even lower.

Maybe this year was just the exception, but crowds were lower before labour day weekend then after the weekend.

I think the general rule is if you want a low crowd time, try to go when school is in session. Also, if you can afford it try not to go during free dining as that seems to increase occupancy. The crowd calendars referenced above are also good general tools but there are still factors that can impact crowds making them heavier than predicted.

I think the week after labor day is historically the lowest crowd time of the year. I went in 2013 and 2014 and the crowds were very low. If we had to wait in a line for more than 15 minutes we didn't bother and fast passes for almost everything were available all hours. I went the week before labor day this year and crowds were much heavier than they were after labor day the past 2 years.
