So what is Expedition Everest supposed to be like??

if he is too short for splash mountain he's most definatly too short for this.

You won't have a choice between a forwards train and a backwards train, all trains will do both every ride

Friends that have ridden it tell me that it's awesome.

DVC members will have a preview of Everest on Super Bowl weekend

Actually, it's the week before the Super Bowl that the DVD members preview occurs. Lucky me ... I'll be there that weekend (Jan 26-29) and I plan to ride EE! For your reading pleasure: http://allearsnet.com/tp/ak/ak_ee.htm

(the Super Bowl is Feb 5, BTW)

Not sure about the whole backward thing though-- the Maelstrom's backward is about as much as I can handle... any CMs wanna help us out with details?

99.9999999% sure you will be able to ride. After AP/DVC previews it is pretty much unofficially open.
