So what is Disney Hollywood Studio's Weenie now?

I vote for Handy Manny. Never liked him very much.:thumbsup2

While it may now be ToT, what you see when you enter the park now is an ugly stage for the Star Wars events that hides most of the Chinese Theater. It is a shame. Almost makes me wish for the hat back again.

Could you imagine if Disney actually made a Death Star? How cool would that be!

They could absolutely project images up onto the Epcot ball to make it look like the Death Star, which would also be really cool, but it wouldn't make much sense at that park.

I believe that weenie's and icons are two completely different things. An Icon is the park identity and for most of it's existence the earfful water tower was the Icon, later it kinda of became the Big A. Hat. Now there is no official Icon for that park, but, I'm sure we will find out what they chose once the park is renamed and reopened. Weenie's on the other hand are thing that draw you to a certain area of the park. Those would be the theater and the Tower of Terror. There are other minor ones as well, but, mostly it is that. Now, an Icon can also be a Weenie, like The Castle in MK, Spaceship Earth in Epcot and the Tree of Life in AK. But, those are more the exceptions, then the rule.

There should be a giant turkey leg somewhere, that could be the new icon

For a second I thought you were talking about my ex-BIL.

I have to say, I saw the title of this thread and went "what?"

Never seen the park icons called THAT before. :)
Me neither. My first thought was that there was some hot dog stand that I missed any discussion of, and there was some kind of featured dog like a coney or a chicago.

I learn something every day.

When I saw the word "Weenie," I thought about the Nickelodeon cartoon Oswald and his pet dachshund named Weenie.

Then I thought, hey, Oswald and Weenie would be at Universal, not WDW.
