So what do you want for Christmas?

We're doing a Disney trip Dec. 31-Jan. 6th, so decided to go light on the presents this year and let the trip be our gift. I also helped my husband this year with the actual purchasing of presents for me, the first year I've done that and it's worked out really well. We are doing 3-4 smaller gifts each, and I wanted a new pair of Jack Rogers sandals and a new Lilly Pulitzer dress in a specific pattern, and got both on Ebay at unbelievable prices. I don't get them until Christmas, however. I know he snuck out and purchased one other present for me as a surprise, but I have no idea what it might be. I also wanted a new pair of Saucony jogging shoes for the trip, and I know my mom and dad got those for me. I really do not need or want too much, I'm just looking forward seeing our little six-year-old daughter light up on Christmas morning!

I really want a fossil watch on ebay. Its the same as my current watch that is almost 8 yrs old. They don't make it any more and I'm watching a new one on ebay.

I also really would like a "worked out solutions" book for Algebra 1. This way I could check my DS's math without having to do every problem myself. Iit just keeps getting harder! Those books are pricey though.

My husband is terrible at wrapping so I know what is under the tree. He got me a bath robe and a tv season on blu-ray. He didn't even put the robe in a box, he just folded it up and put the wrapping paper around it....
I asked for both so I know I will be happy. I just kinda wish there was a surprise in there.

I doubt I will get everything on my wish list (and that's fine - I certainly don't need anything, and anyway I'm more excited about seeing DS' excitement on Christmas morning), but here are the big things I've asked for:

  • Michael Kors purse (pricey, but it's a classic style and I keep my purses forever)
  • Garmin Forerunner 10 (I'm training for a 15K and tired of running with my phone strapped to my arm)
  • iPod Shuffle (so I can still listen to music and podcasts while training)

Thomas Kincaide Disney wall calendar
Thomas Kincaide Disney 1000pc puzzle
Ravensburger Disney Christmas Eve puzzle
Timex Weekenders watch set
Gloves
The Help DVD
Salt shaker

There were more I can't remember- every year we have to put together a list complete with pictures for MIL so my list is at her house now.

Kindle Paperwhite (I've been wanting a Kindle forever and DH said if I didn't finally make a decision, he would - I ordered it 2 weeks ago!)

Parenthood - Season 3

My big gift from DH will probably be my annual pass for next year's trips. He'd prefer I come up with an idea that he could wrap but there's just not much else that I want or need. There are a few books on my wish-list but I'd rather have them for my Nook than cluttering up the house when I'm done with them, he already bought me the Dark Shadows blu-ray as a "just because" when he got home from a business trip, and I can't think of anything else that I really want this year.

What I really want is the carpet pulled up in the living room and laminate put down to match the rest of the downstairs, but I don't think we're quite ready to do it so...

a kindle
an ipod nano (I don't need all of the apps of a touch, I just want to be able to listen to music while I'm cleaning/working/walking dogs without anyone complaining about it)
a bike
there are some picture frames I want, but they're very specific so I haven't asked for them since I would need to pick them out

I have no idea what I will really get since DH hasn't started shopping and keeps saying he doesn't know what to get me, usually when he says that I don't get anything, but I have mentioned the things on my list to both him and the teens so hopefully someone will remember :sad2:

Well I know my DBF is giving me 2 pairs of jeans *I was with him last night when they were purchased* a Big Star pair and these Silvers ~ so much $$$ *I have a hard time spending money on myself and others spending it is just as hard.
He mentioned that he got me something else and is getting me a white trench coat :scared: ~ I'll love it but it's so much stuff/$$

Want - not much, I'd love tickets to Les Mis *it'll be in SLC next year!! And hoping all goes as planned for our WDW visit next October.

A Lab puppy! I've been bugging my DH for one for a while now and he finally caved. We have a 9 year old Lab that I am way too attached to..I'm calling this pup my back-up Lab! She's coming home right after Christmas, and she's my Christmas, birthday, Valentines Day, and anniversary present all wrapped up into one little furball.

i need new jeans. :( mine are too small. darn stress and compulsive eating. i'll probably thrift store shop for those, though-i like my jeans already broken in.

i'd like to have a tripod for my new DSLR and photoshop. neither of which will happen, unless i order it myself.

DH keeps talking about buying me a foot massager....he'd better not! he bought me a back massager last year, and it was the worst gift ever. stupid thing actually hurts my back more than it helps.

i really need to teach him about buying gifts for women...especially me.

I finally broke down and bought myself a Disney Dooney and Burke purse. I have always wanted one but couldn't justify the expense. Well the one I bought was on sale plus there were 2 different 10% off codes that you could use plus I had a $50 giftcard I got as a gift. So I broke down and bought it last week, just waiting for it to arrive. It ended up costing me only $43.

Besides that I also hope our Aug. trip next year does not get cancelled.

1)Confirmation of another DVC resort week through RCI for our upcoming June vacation.
2) Money for the June Disney vacation. I know, I know, it doesn't grow on trees but wishing Santa would drop a red bag of Disney Dollars on my fireplace.:santa:
3) Children who get along with each other while on Christmas Break. This may very well be the most unrealistic gift of all...God Bless Us Everyone

I'd love to have just one day off from taking care of my DD, who has a brain injury from a car accident, and my elderly DMIL. I love them both with all my heart, but would love to take a day for myself.

:grouphug:

I asked for slippers, a new blowdryer, and bubble bath.
That's it...I'm easy. :lmao:

PEACE ON EARTH....GOOD WILL TOWARD MEN!!!

A Thomas Kinkade Disney edition of Snow White would be nice too.

Are their any respite services in your area? I am sure you've looked into it. I know how stressful caregiving can be. And then you feel guilty because you love them. Don't feel bad, needing a break is totally understandable. Just a hug in recognition for what you do.

As for my Christmas wish list dh and I don't really exchange gifts for two reasons. One, because if there is extra I want it to go into the Disney trip fund. The other is that I genuinely prefer watching the kids open their gifts.::yes::
I do have family asking what I want and I suggested pieces from the Department 56 Disney Christmas Village set. I am excited to start collecting those!:)
