when Universal parks close at 6:00?

We're not doing Disney this time around, and I'm wondering if anyone has done anything fun in the evening that they'd recommend?

If you have the money, you could go see a dinner show.
Dixie Stampede is highly recommended - great food - family sing-a-long show.
Arabian Nights is also fun - more dramatic - good food.

It's recommended to arrive these shows 30 minutes before the doors open. With traffic and delays, you'll get there right on time. If you schedule the 8pm show, you'd have to be heading out around 6pm.

Otherwise I walk around the hotel, drink a few beers, and go to bed on time so I can get up early the next morning.

We sometimes eat at CityWalk when the parks close and walk around and take pictures. We have also watched a movie at the cinema at CityWalk; it's a really nice plact to catch a show!

Also, I know this isn't fun, but....I hate to take dirty laundry home, so I wash clothes and relax in the room while they are washing on some nights. You would be surprised how much turning in early will help you the next day.

Just enjoy the restaurants and clubs at City Walk. There;s enough to keep you occupied.

We ended each evening with drinks at the Thisty Fish Bar on the Harbour Piazza at PBH. It was nice to sit outside by the water and relax. They have Italian singers there in the evening also.

City Walk is also a nice way to spend the evening.

We usually head over to Citywalk as well and then lounge around the hotel.

It looks like you're staying off property so, as Robvia suggested, a dinner show could work. We've seen the Pirates' Adventure Dinner Show and Sleuth's Murder Mystery Show, and I recommend both.

As for Citywalk, it has good shopping, dining and entertainment choices. For dining, there's Margaritaville, Hard Rock Cafe, NBA Restaurant, Bubba Gump's and Pastamore' just to name a few. For elegant dining, there's Emeril's Restaurant at Citywalk and Emeril's Tchoup Chop at the Royal Pacific Resort. For entertainment, there's a movie theater and Hard Rock Live.

CityWalk has something called a Movie and a Meal for $19.95. It includes dinner (off a selected menu) that includes tax and tip and also includes a movie.

We did this twice when we were in Orlando last week and enjoyed it.

I am looking to make dinner plans on Saturday night on Feb. 17th. I think the park is open until 8 pm and it is Mardis Gras. What will be going on that evening the the park? What is the best time to eat dinner? We are thing about going to Emeril's Tchoup Chop. Possibly the Luau.

A would love some recommendations for that evening. I am not quite sure how to plan around the park activities.

I highly recommend Mythos at IOA if you've never eaten there but note that during not so busy times, they may not open for dinner or may close early so call ahead.
