My MIL asked DH yesterday what to get me for Christmas and he asked me. I am honestly floored. I dont NEED anything - have plenty of clothes, a full bottle of perfume and my favorite magazine subscription is paid up for another 18 months. I have a new computer and a new camera so I dont need any electronics either.

She wont give me money or a gift card because she knows I will just spend it on the kids!

So, ladies. What are YOU asking for this year for Christmas? I need ideas!

:)
Thanks!

How about a book that's on the best seller list? :wave2:

I asked for a trip to WDW over Christmas...and I'm getting it. :cool1: I hate receiving practical things or clothing I've picked out for myself as gifts. Instead, I appreciate the fun and unexpected: seasonal flowers, cute purses, oil paintings, unusual pottery (I've collected pottery during our trips all over the US/world.), silver jewelry of just about any kind, etc.

well i'm having my holiday, so thats techincally my present for the next 10 years....my dad is getting me a camera as a joint present for b'day and xmas(which is the 14th) and while im away i'm going to get an ipod...which ive wanted for ages!

I got mine on Black Friday... my grandma paid for my portable dvd player and I love it! Anything else I get, I would like to go in my new Mickey/Minnie kitchen. My inlaws asked so my hubby told them the Mickey toaster. I have some stuff, just need a few more little odds and ends.

How about a day at a spa? You could get a massage, a manicure, a pedicure, and get you hair done. Every woman needs a little pampering.

I just watched a special on PBS television - Jim Brickman at the Magic Kingdom - The Disney Songbook. I am adding this CD to my list. Actually, if I make a pledge I can get the DVD! Annmarie

DH got me two tickets to see "Wicked" on Broadway. Guess I'll share and let him use one of them. :goodvibes

These are all great ideas! If you really don't want or need anything, perhaps you could suggest a donation to a charity of your choice? If you do, then it helps to provide the address.

Great suggestions everyone.

I did suggest the charity idea but my MIL wants to give something "material" rather than a donation, cash or a gift card/certificate.

:)
