So what are you good at cooking?

My son standing here next to me yelled "LASAGNA!"

I make good mashed potatoes, baked mac-n-cheese, stewed tomatoes, and I'm usually good with just throwing stuff in the crock pot and it comes out yummy.

I bake a mean monkey cake (even the lady I learned to make it from likes mine better!) and what my family calls my "ooey gooey cookie bars".

Tomatoe Pie (I really dont have a recipe but this is how I do it)

5-6 tomatoes..depending on size wash and slice (not thick slices). I put the slices on a cookie cooling rack with paper towels under it to catch the drips. Lightly sprinkle salt on both sides of the slices (brings out the moisture). I slice the tomatoes in the morning and throughout the day I "blot" the slices with paper towels to soak up as much water/liquid from the slices. I go through alot of paper towels. This is the best method that works for me otherwise the pie is soupy from the tomatoes.

Prebake a pie crust for a few minutes but do not brown it. Once it cools place a layer of tomatoes, sprinkle with basil (fresh is awesome), tomatoes, basil, tomatoes, basil until the pie crust is full. It is OK to mound a little.

Mix 1 cup of mayonaise, 1-1/2 cup of cheddar cheese..I like to mix in mozzarella and some parmesan and sprinkle in some italian seasonings. Mix well and spread over the tomatoes. Bake at 350 about 20-30 minutes or until lightly brown on top. Serve immediately.
