I'm trying to cut back on my diet coke addiction and its not easy! So i need a good alternative replacement.

I'm looking for something with a little flavor but not too many calories or chemicals. Other than water.:rolleyes1

Does anything like that exist? Help please! :confused3

I know you said not water, but what I do is flavor my water. I will juice a lemon and use the juice and a little stevia which makes it taste like lemonade with no calories. The stevia is also from a plant which makes it healthier than other sugar substitutes. I also have bought different flavored stevias and just added that to my water. It's a way to drink my water every and still get some variety. :goodvibes

I'm trying to do the same thing. I allow myself one can of coke each week with (unless there's a celebration then I can have an extra one -- but only every two months). I have been drinking flavored water, gatorade & more fruit juice. I also try to drink the v8 Fushion so I get some extra fruits/veggies in.

There is a company called advocare that sells a vitamin enriched drink + caffeine, called spark. No sugar, no calories. And its good for you! PM me if you want, I'll give you more info. It has helped my hubby get off sodas, and he says he feels better.

ETA should have added you mix it with water-its a powder

I am a coke zero addict, but try to limit it to once/day. All those chemicals can't be good for you.. :)

I love Diet Coke, but also trying to cut down. I'm drinking sparkling water, club soda, LaCroix. I'm also making Spritzers, mixing in OJ or POM juice

All sorts of teas - hot or cold.

Watch the flavored waters as many of them are packed with as much sugar as colas.

If you must do cola, check a Whole Foods as their store brand is all natural, no chemicals, and tastes great - they have all sorts of flavors. We cut out soda entirely last January but will allow ourselves an ocassional Whole Foods (365 brand?) soda since they don't have all the bad junk in them - club soda, cane sugar, natural flavorings and that's about it. No science experiments.

And there is nothing wrong with good old fashioned water. It's the best for you.

I've never been able to drink soda (the carbonation is like a bunch of rats trying to chew their way out of my stomach - and the same with some of my favorite fruit juices), so I tend to stick with coffee and water..

But how about some smoothies made from fruited yogurt? They shouldn't have too many calories, right?

Or - you could just try really hard to get used to plain water.. There was a time when I couldn't stand it - very, very rarely drank water (only to take medications) - but I ran into a medical situation where I had to drink plain, unflavored water - up to 6 bottles a day (which I still have to do).. In the beginning it was horrible - had to be ice cold - and even then it was torture.. But the longer I forced myself to do it, the easier it became.. Now I'm at the point where it doesn't even have to be cold anymore.. If need be, I can drink it at room temp - with no issues at all..:thumbsup2 It wasn't easy, but I didn't/don't have a choice..

Hope you can find something that works well for you..:goodvibes

I am a HUGE Dr. Pepper drinker!!! I try and limit myself to one a day but sometimes............;) I do like to drink tea and lately I have drinking A LOT of Crystal Light. It only has 5 calories and no sugar so it works for me.:thumbsup2 I am not a big water drinker but with the crystal light I am getting a lot more of it. They have a lot of different flavors as well so I don't get burned out on the same thing. :)

I've recently cut out drinking coke. I only drink it when we go out to a restaurant. Instead I have been drinking tea. Regular plain tea where you boil water and use a tea bag.

Maggie

I drink a lot of tea but I also treat myself to Fuze if I catch it on sale. I think that it's good stuff.

I'm drinking SmartWater. A BIG OLD JUG of it!! Hoping I can drink the whole thing today! I don't drink enough water. EVER!

I have a 24 oz. water bottle that I fill with 1/3 VitaminWater Zero Lemon and the rest water. It tastes great and is very refreshing. You can get the VitaminWater sometimes for $1 a bottle. A bottle will last me an entire day this way. I find the VitaminWater by itself to be too sweet. It's made with Truvia, which is a natural sweetener and is zero calories.

I've tried this with other flavors but not as good as the Lemon, however I love the orange flavored one, but cannot get it here, I have only seen it in Florida.

Right now a mocha (homemade). I drink a lot of coffee & tea. And an occasional glass of water.

I don't drink a lot of soda right now. I go in spurts where I drink a lot or I drink very little.

I use lime and stevia, actually not always stevia.

my favorite drink is just plain tap water but I do enjoy a lifewater zero now and then. And when we go to our favorite B&B in the summer, they always have a pitcher of ice water with cut up citrus fruit floating in it. Quite refreshing.

Now i'm thirsty...thanks. LOL

I am a Coke junkie! I also drink a ton of water. My new found favorite is Arnold Palmer Half & Half. It is tea with lemonade. Im not a real big tea fan but I really love this. :thumbsup2
