So what are YOU doing for the Superbowl?

My husband's going to the SuperBowl so I am thinking about going to WDW! It all depends on the airfare dropping...

Big Steelers fan having a big party!

Just have to say, after 20 years of marriage, I got tired of dh having those 5 hours of free time to himself every Sunday to watch his beloved team play, so I decided to try it...drop everything, relax, eat nachos, have a glass of wine and join him. It was wierd at first but it is the best thing I ever did! Because we don't live near Pittsburgh, we have to go to a sportsbar to catch some of the games so on some Sundays it feels like a date.

I now love the game, and I have really had fun getting to know the players...loved seeing Palamalu point to his wedding ring and blow a kiss into the camera to his wife, loved seeing how Hines Ward's mom who only spoke Korean, and was divorced from her military husband, worked night and day to provide for him, loved finding out that Ward has a Mickey tattoo, loved hearing Coach Cowher who only has daughters say he has a whole locker room full of sons, loved hearing that Jerome Bettis's parents have never missed a game and his Mom wasn't giving anyone tickets to the Super Bowl who hadn't attended at least 3 games this year, and I loved it when the 24 yr old Ben promised he'd get Jerome to the Super Bowl and did it! I'm such a girl, I know, LOL!

Just thought I'd mention this...maybe you all that said you're football widows might want to give it a try.

Wow! That's pretty exciting! How did he get tickets?

We went downtown Detroit a couple weeks ago (for the North American Auto Show) & was impressed to see how the city was cleaned up. It's normally the cesspool of America but it looked half decent. Lots of traffic & lots of parties going on around town but we're not invited to any celebrity parties...or our invite got lost in the mail!

My DH will be watching the game & then I'll do the usual, he calls me when a commercial is coming on & I go racing to the TV to watch it. I just love the commercials during SuperBowls! They are usually the best!

I'm getting as far away from Detroit/Windsor as possible!

I live 5min from the border, on the Canadian side, and am not going to be around. I leave Fri 6am for my WDW trip!
