besides pants with adjustable waists what brands usually fit skinny girls? I don't think dd is that thin. She is 9 years old 61lbs and 54.5inches. She needs a 10 for length. She recently tried on Arizone 10 slim jeans from JcPenney with no adjustable waist. They literally fell off as she tried to walk down the stairs. She actually prefers pull on pants. So far Childrens Place are a little big but usable. She just tried Target leggings and they are way too big. I think gymboree fit okay but she is too old to want to wear them.

My dd5 is 44inches and 35lbs. She also does best with Childrens Place clothes as well as gymboree leggings. Pants from places like kmart and target don't fit. Kohls jumping beans brand are also way too big in the waist.

have you checked out crazy 8? its owned by gymboree but its for the older kids....it goes up to size 14!

Lots of brands come in slim sizes. My daughter (9) has worn slim jeans for several years now. Wrangler, Limited 2, Gap. I usually get them on ebay to keep the cost down.

My 11 year old dd weighs 65lbs and wears a 10 slim from Old Navy. They fit her well. The Children's Place size 10 slim fit her perfect but she doesn't want jeans from there

Justice has some that my DDs wear also skinny tall girls! I think I just got DD#1 (8) some MUDD from Kohl's too that fit pretty well but I can't remember if they are adj waist or not- Kohl's I don't buy much for them there though - I don't get the whole skull and crossbones thing for young girls right now glittery or not - but that's just me!pirate:

My DD7 is tall and skinny too. Gap/Old Navy fit her well, other than that I make her pants. I actually will cut up my old pant legs and make her jeans that way, and I can make the waist fit her perfectly. She wears dresses and skirts or long shirts with leggins alot because we have a hard time with pants. BUT winter is comin...

I bought all my daughters slim jeans from gap and justice and love them they fit perfect.

Dd8 is 52 pounds, about 51 inches, and Justice size 7 slims fit her great, even without the adjustable waist (well, one pair is a little lose). They are too big for dd6, about an inch shorter, and in the 40's. Old Navy slims have always worked out well for them.

My DD10 is 54.5 in and 59 lbs. Her Justice jeans are an 8 slim and they fit perfectly. She also has Justice velour sweatpants, but those are a 7 (DD has short legs).

I have the same problem with my dd(8),she is 50 pds and 51 inches and has no hips so even the adjustable waist falls off cause there is nothing to hold them up!I get her jeans from kohls alot-the so brand I think it's called fit her pretty good because they are slimmer in the leg and backside too. Also I get levi's slims for her sometimes.Gap are okay for her and for sweatpants type I like justice because they make actual working drawstrings and not just tied in a bow for decoration.Today she is wearing a velour outfit from Target and I had to roll the waistband over 3 times but she wanted to wear them!

My dd is 11 and similar height/weight as your dd. She wears a 10 slim from Justice, the skinny jeans and they fit well. She's also got some Mossimo brand from Target that are 10 slims. They have an adjustable waist. She likes the Justice ones better though.

I second Old Navy, Gap, and Justice (or Limited Too if you find them used). They fit consistently. Arizona slims can be all over the place- not necessarily very slim! Gymboree slims worked good for her in the past, however for some reason they don't make 12 slim (but they make 12 and 12 plus!) :confused3

I also will say that DD likes the Faded Glory slims from Walmart.
