So, we get our water/electric bill yesterday

I have been telling DH for a year and a half that we need to replace the toilet in the boys bathroom because it runs all the time. He keeps telling me it is fine or in DH speak, I don't want to fix it. Finally I give him a deadline or I call a plumber. Dh, being a major tightwad, panics and fixes the toilet (well twice because he cracked the first new one). Our water bill was $40 LESS then what we have been averaging the past year. That second new toilet will pay for itself in just 2 months. Normally I would have just fixed it myself but it is too heavy for me.

Sounds like something my late DH would have done - LOL..

He would keep washing out and saving the same sandwich bag forever, but when he did the dishes, instead of filling the sink, he would let the hot water run constantly while he washed them under the faucet.. No way could I make him understand that the waste of the water and the use of the electric to continually reheat the water was WAAAAAY more expensive than a $1.29 box of 100 sandwich bags!!!!

It's a "guy" thing..
