My WeatherUnderground app gave the high at DL yesterday as 117˚!!!! That's got to be an all time record and then some!

I grew up near Claremont and having a temp of 101˚ was considered a scorcher and temps 'the other side' of the Anaheim/Brea hills were usually 10-20˚ cooler on average.

Hope you all survived! Or at least it kept the crowds down!

Posts on the board suggest it was a bit of a mess yesterday between IT issues and the heat with many rides going down.

I grew up in Claremont :) It's already 99 there today at 9am :crazy2:

Waves at fellow SG Valley-ite. Yes, my cousin called me yesterday around 4 and it was 113˚ on her patio! Ugh!

Go Bearcats. Beat Wolfpack. lol

Location, location.....our Yuma weather man said disneyland was at 111, NBC news said 118 for universal city....Yuma weather man, west side of the mesa of the Colorado river flood plain said it was 117....while I am living on the east side up against the looming mountain range had a thermometer that read 121, while watering plants this morning at 5:30, watering neighbor said this thermometer read the same 121 degrees......location, location of the measuring device !!!!

A friend commented it hit 120 at their house in Murrietta. We left Disneyland yesterday at 1030a. It was already in the high 90s. We hit Santa Clarita about 1150a and it was 113 degrees.

Yes, yes it was that hot and the IT issues probably made it seem even hotter to those in the parks, not it mention all of the ride breakdowns.

Yes, it was extremely hot. I was showing 111º at 5pm. I was driving from downtown LA towards Disneyland around 2:30/3pm, and my car thermometer showed 122º, but it was probably more like 117º

We survived Disneyland yesterday. Barely. It was definitely around 115-117. We took a 6 hour break and it was still quite miserable. And then Max Pass was down for about 6 hours. This is my first Disney trip where i’m ready to leave.
Are you feeling any better? We arrive tomorrow morning....any advice?

Today was our last day. Stayed until 3. Incredicoaster has been down all day and Toy Story Mania most of the day. (That was a bummer because those are 2 of our favorites) Crowds were pretty good, but the heat really makes it hard to enjoy yourself. The mornings and evenings are still doable. Afternoon breaks are essential. Pirates is a dream—we rode it a lot to cool down! We had still had fun, just maybe not quite as much because of the heat.

It was really that hot, my weather app said it was Satan's Sauna LOL. It didn't bother me too much but we drank a lot of water and used chilly neck wraps. Maxpass went down for about five hours, and we had only used one fastpass, I lost two that were scheduled and never got the anytime fastpasses when it finally came back up, so that was pretty irritating. Grizzly and Splash were both down for much of the afternoon, so not many people were cooling off there. The waits were short but with the app down it was kind of a guessing game where to go until it came back up. We did get a ton of rides done though, I'm not sure I've ever seen the park that empty and we usually go off season.

Well I certainly doff my ears to those of you who were at the parks yesterday! I don't know if I could have handled it.

Yes. I'm 5 minutes from the beach about 30 minutes north of DL right above Long Beach and it got up to 105 here. I was hiding all day in pitch black and not opening the door. I left a USPS package on my porch for 9 hours, as it came right after my husband got him and I refused to open the door again until 11 PM!

OMG  I can't imagine that! Grew up in Riverside where the worst of all worst was maybe 114 F. But 117 degrees, give or take, down towards DLR? :scared1:

It was really really hot. We were in the parks from 8am-12:30 and 6:30-midnight. We had a great time but it definitely took some planning. We got a lot of free water cups from restaurants, stayed in our motel room during the worst time, and tried to stay out of the sun as much as possible.

Tomorrow is predicted to be mid 90s with the hottest part of the day being around 3pm. You should be fine if you stay hydrated and take a mid-day break.

Hello from a fellow Riverside-er. I can confirm it’s one of the hottest points in recent memory. Only day I can remember that was worse was Labor Day 4-5 years ago where it was 115 and humid
