hi the last 2 months have been awful my mum had a stroke had to fly to England to see her she is doing very well.I flew back again 2 wks after i got back my brother in law passed away after an operation whuich should have been routine .Anyway my mum and partner booked to visit here in states christmas well thing is insurance cancelled her doctor said well enough to travel but shes 77 yrs old cant get insurance so sad wont be able to visit anymore. does anyone know if anyone will insure her anyone had any thing like this happen to them? Thanks T

Oh Im so sorry to hear this, it must be so hard for you being so far away, get your mum to phone this company below, they insured my mum who was recovering from Breast Cancer, has ashthma and has epilepsy and she had to make a claim after one of her holidays and they were brilliant. My mum was 72when she went on her last holiday and they insured her.

However do phone them and not do it online as they need to have as much info as possible, I do hope your mum manages to sort something out.

Hi there,
I can sympathise with the difficulty getiing travel insurance. I will say dont give up there is always someone willing to insure !!
I can reccomend 2 companies to try both of which have insured us in the past and without needing a 2nd mortgage

We claimed with get my and they were very good
Both companies will let you request a quote online too so saves you having to have same difficult conversation over and over ago.

I have a list of insurance companies which are specifically for people who have a hard time getting travel insurance so if you struggle after trying them i will be happy to email it to you however I wont be able to reccomned any others from experience.
