So a few years I lost a ton of weight (65-70 pounds). Keep it off till a few months ago. (gained 8-12 pounds) I so got to get back to writing down what I eat and remeasuring portions. I so dont want to be unhealthy again. I was always an unhealthy weight even growing up till I got a scarry wake up call and my goal was a healthy BMI and now I am tipping on unhealthy BMI and it is killing my self worth.

I came back here to make myself accountable and write it down. I so got to stop letting the stress kill me and taking it out on myself with food.

Plus I have a trip coming up in 6 weeks and that is stressing me out more and I dont want to embarass myself on the beach in front of DH and all his work people I have to see every year.

Honestly PaulaSue I think this is a GIFT. This weight creeping up. It is.

First, congratulations on your weight loss.

Second, and here's the biggie, your weight has NADA to do with your self worth. What does that say about you and all your acc0mplishments? It's nonsense. And honestly I would work on that because coming to that concept will help you for life. I know that sounds harsh but as I write I want you to know that I too have struggled with that concept. And *I think* I'm there - though I will squash it if it ever comes up again.

Think about this differently. Congratulate yourself for catching the weight creeping up so quickly. You could have easily let it slide. So congratulate yourself. It is something not to let it slide at 20, 30, 50, 80 pounds on. And even if it was those numbers - lessons were learned - which are valuable. And hardly makes one a failure.

As for the DH it made VERY SAD to think that you think that your DH would consider such a thought as you are thinking. As for the others - I don't know what to say.

You've been VERY successful. Congratulate yourself. And the weight you gained will come off in no time. And it will come off easier from a congratulatory spot (with reality of I must get on it and not ignore it sprinkled in) then from beating yourself up.

Have a wonderful vacation. Do not blanket a wonderful time with insults to yourself. You deserve better. We all do.

 PaulaSue and all that Lisa said I second!

you are so smart to take it seriously at this point, and this is just a bump in the road, one you can overcome!! we are here to support you!!

feel free to join in the Biggest Loser challenge for a great group of WISHers to keep you accountability as you lose those last darn pounds and then maintain!

I so agree with the above - it is great that you have 'caught' it at such a low gain and can take action to stop it. I lost a ton of weight a few years back and let it creep and now I have almost 50lbs to lose again :scared1:

I also agree that your weight does not define who you are - you are more important than any numbers on a scale.

Come join us at biggest loser - it's great moral support and then look forward to a great time at the beach.

Hey there! I am joining back up too. I signed up with My Fitness Pal and it has been wonderful keeping track of everything I eat and my exercise. No more need for paper and pen.

:thumbsup2
