Checking the Lines app, seems there are plenty of fastpasses available in a short time frame, which suggests the app availability is not having a huge effect on availability.
Was at MK today. As soon as we used our 3rd fast fastpass the app said we were eligible for a fourth fastpass. At 1:30 pm, the choices were extremely limited. Almost nothing available at MK for the remainder of the day, and not much at the other parks either. I've had much better choices in the past getting 4th and 5th fastpasses at kiosks - especially at Magic Kingdom.
Here today. MK fastpasses were gone by 1:00 for all attractions on app and at the kiosks. People at the kiosk lines were mad at the cast members because they didn't tell them them everything was gone and let them wait in the lines.
You could schedule 4th FP at other parks but choices were very limited early.
Guess the Lines app is flat out wrong then (about fastpass availability)!
Here now-no fast passes available for any park on the app. In the MK now and went to a kiosk where the cast members said the whole system is not working and there are a lot of problems with the upgrade. Bummed since it's our last night with no fast pass!

The only thing worse than waiting in a line to avoid a line, is to wait in a line to avoid a line only to find out there are no lines left to wait for.
Something is definitely rotten in the state of WDW. I just looked at MDE, and there is nothing available in the MK until 6:00 pm. Even if everyone in WDW scheduled their first three FPs for 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00 (which would never happen), they would just be finishing up their third rides and eligible for 4th FPs. There is no way they would all be gone this early. I've been at WDW in summer and had better luck with 4th FPs at 7:00 pm. Even factoring in the ability to make these from the phone, I find it really hard to believe there is this little FP availability on a random Monday in April after peak spring break crowds are gone. I suspect the system is just not functioning properly.
