So this is what mid-life crisis feels like? Dec 2011 PTR

Happy Birthday Nate! I so love your cake idea...I totally get it! But then again I am a little closer geographically speaking than everyone else. What a great conversation piece for everyone! So which side does Nate go for?

Love the birthday donut idea...sugar always starts the day off great along with it being his birthday he might just play like Michael Jordan today!

Thank you Tammie! He had a good birthday! Definitely hyped up on sugar for their game, played hard and well, won, but not Michael Jordan style... :rotfl: They were so much still in football mode... fouling all over the court. :rolleyes1

I will be sending good thoughts their ways! I'm sorry your caught in the middle for the parents though.

Glad you kept it! We can still do our mini meet!

Happy birthday Nate!!!

Yes, Ashley! One reason I wanted to keep it!! :thumbsup2

Congratulations to Erin's team! I hope that Nate had a good birthday!
Your last day plans look good! Nice and easy and a good way to say good bye to the trip!
Okay all caught up again!

Thank you Heather!!! Hold your breath though... I'm changing up the 21st and 22nd... update to come!! :goodvibes

I'm so far behind EVERYTHING...

Hopefully I'll be able to catch up before I leave on Sunday!

I'm so happy for you! I am just in awe that several of you leave this week!! And even more so because I know I'm right behind you... poor Tammie leaves when we all are getting back! BUT how awesome for her to be there while the rest of us sit back and dream we were still there!

Just as a head's up...

Touring Plans chat has been ablaze all weekend with monorail issues. Some said the ferries were causing waits of an hour or more. I'll keep a close eye out as your trip gets closer.

OH! And Pocohontas, Lilo, and Jiminy Cricket have been pulled from AK but they're adding Carl and Russell from UP!

Thanks Jenn! I'm seriously somewhat concerned about the monorail as I've read reports as well... I know it's in desperate need of some repairs and they've been working on that but I'm okay NOT taking the monorail if it gets me where I'm going quicker. I think I've already decided to do ferry boats as I can from Poly to MK, and then hike to the TTC and ride buses to DHS, Epcot (which kills me because I love the monorail ride from TTC to there), and then of course to AK.

Thanks for looking out for me!!

WE love UP! My husband calls me DUG regularly.... I can't imagine.... wait! Squirrel!!!!.... why he would think that! :rotfl:

In honor of my final day of "double digits" I've decided to make some changes! :rotfl:

After toying around with ridemax, and really making my hubby prioritize with me what he would like to do on his few days there, here's the new plans... AND I really want your thoughts! In my twisted mind, it will work... but I put major emphasis on the 'twisted' part... :rotfl2:

12/21 - Epcot day - We will still be there for rope drop and our goal is to hit these attractions before our ADR at Cape May Cafe':
Soarin, Test Track, Spaceship Earth, Mission Space, Sum of All Thrills, Living with the Land, Seas with Nemo, Maelstrom, Gran Fiesta, Figment, and hear the storytellers in America, Germany, UK and Canada. Then go to our ADR at 5 at Cape May at BC.
THEN - ride the friendship boat or walk to DHS to catch Osborne lights and possibly a showing of Fantasmic. If we fit anything else in while there, then that's just bonus.

12/22 - Start off back at DHS - We are in before opening at Hollywood & Vine breakfast... we will then hit TSM, ToT, RnR, Star Tours, Great Movie Ride... and anything else is bonus. I could see us doing repeats of RnR, ToT, and TSM.

We will then leave as planned around 1p, and go to Animal Kingdom with the hopes of riding EE, Dinosaur, It's a Bugs Life, and Safari - try to catch the afternoon parade, possibly hit Camp Minnie and Mickey, the jungle trek, etc. until about 7p. We will then head back to Epcot to catch Illuminations which we would have missed the night before since we went to DHS.

For some reason, this plan makes more sense to me than doing DHS, to AK, and back to DHS on 12/22.

What do you all think? Our final day on 12/23 will remain the same - MK all day long, dinner at 'Ohana, back to MK for Wishes and close the joint down til midnight unless kids decide they want to go to Epcot instead after Wishes.

I can't help time wise with you but I like the plans and you made me realize that I have not yet come up with a plan for MK day:scared1:!!! I guess that I have to add that to the list of things to do! And what did you and Ann decide on? Meeting in Epcot that evening/night of the 16th? I have to ask Ann about the morning of the 16th too, but I am going to wait until Zoe feels a little better!

I think if ridemax says you can fit all that in...then go for it! Looks like a lot of fun....

:worship::worship:All Hail Ridemax...although I am not happy with some of the plans that it has spit out at me! I am adding my own little tinkering to personalize the plan!

I like the park hopping...you guys know what you are doing and have been there before so you are pros. I just hope the transporation issues are fixed when we wll get there!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Love it!

Yeah, the monorails are really wearing down. They're over 20 years old and let's face it... they weren't designed to carry the "loads" they've had to in recent years.

One of the rumors floating around was that ABC needed the monorail to be closed down for parts of Saturday because they needed shots for the parade taping. I'm calling shenanigans... :rolleyes1

Either way... BUS TO MK whenever possible. I guess some of the waits for the ferry were over an hour and it's just not worth it. As much as it pains me to say so... take the bus!

BOOO to the bus! :headache: But okay... whatever gets us there quicker... Do you think it's quickest to go to TTC and catch the bus there?

:scared1: No plan for MK yet?? :rotfl2: Aren't you leaving pretty soon??? :rotfl:

We haven't decided but we do have each other's cell numbers so we are prepared!!

The transportation is my only concern... I like the park hopping, too. And I do know we know how to get around - I'm really concerned about our dinner ADR at 'Ohana on our MK day and hoping the transportation issues don't make it 'not worth it.'

Forgot to mention that I finally got my Mickey Mail yesterday! 10 days out but was so relieved to see it sitting in the mailbox! :thumbsup2

special to Tammie: I got a special package in the mail! WOW friend! It brought tears to my eyes and something I will definitely display every year and I can't wait to get a picture for it! Eddie is equally impressed and there are no words to tell you how much it means! I absolutely cannot wait to put the treats in the kids stockings - they are going to love those!! AND I love that you sent two boy colors and one girl... :santa:

We will be in Epcot on the 16th... plan to eat in WS sometime around 6pm. So a dismeet then works for me :goodvibes

:worship::worship:All Hail Ridemax...although I am not happy with some of the plans that it has spit out at me! I am adding my own little tinkering to personalize the plan!

Yeah... I do like it..but I do definitely have to tinker with it. Sometimes I use breaks to do things that I am certain that we can fit something into... but that ridemax won't allow me to put in. :confused3 I also have to play around and around with plans until it spits one out I like. Add time to the start or the end... less breaks...more breaks... more attractions..less...etc. It is crazy...but...once I do come up with a plan using it it works.. Lets just hope it does despite holiday crowds.
I'm just saying....

HAPPY SINGLE DIGIT DANCE TO ME TODAY!!!!
:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Congrats!!! it will be here very very soon!
