So this is what mid-life crisis feels like? Dec 2011 PTR

I still don't know what to do about CP ressie at MK... eating after park opens... but early enough ADR to get in park pre-open.... What did you decide?

I am keeping it. I will head to the park early before RD and will still get to go in before the park opens since ADR is for 8:05. Then, I will just start the day later. It means that Dumbo is going to have to wait until that night...and instead of a short wait, it will likely be a long one. Oh well....

Thank you Heather! I'm seriously considering to begin the packing this week! I'm fearful I have gaps to fill.... :sad2: I need to see it all in the suitcase with a list to the side saying "YOU STILL NEED THIS... " :rotfl:

I am going to start after I take pictures of most of it this week! I was thinking I will start next Monday--- BUT that is going to be a lot of trouble to me if I need things!

I knew it was Ann with the same problem! I hope that you figure it out Amy! It sounds like Ann's plan is nice!

I'm going to timeline out the rest of my days, as well, to add something to this PTR... :rotfl: Starting with tomorrow... :goodvibes

Dec 1: work, Erin's basketball game, boys basketball practice, 2 assignments due
Dec 2: work, dinner with friends
Dec 3: boys basketball game, nate's bday party (my baby will be 9!!), Bedlam football party that night at friends (OU v OSU)
Dec 4: church, friend's daughters bday party, house chores, laundry (ack), 1 assignment due
Dec 5: Nolan - dentist 7:30a, work, Erin in bball tourney all week
Dec 6: work, Erin bball tourney - could possibly fit in some shopping this night depending on her game schedule
Dec 7: work, try to finish up shopping, finish up assignments due Thurs (2)
Dec 8: work, Erin bball tourney, boys practice, Nate's christmas program that evening
Dec 9: work, Erin bball tourney,
Dec 10: boys basketball game, Erin bball tourney, finish up shopping
Dec 11: church, house chores, 1 assignment due
Dec 12: work, Erin's basketball game
Dec. 13: work, must definitely finish up shopping for xmas and for trip... last chance!
Dec. 14: work, haircuts for Erin and I - possibly boys, PACK, PACK, PACK, submit final semester project which is technically due on Friday but not taking any chances... ;)
Dec. 15: work, boys basketball practice, PACK PACK PACK
Dec. 16: wake up kids, reveal surprise, record Erin's best moment as an actress feigning surprise at 'not knowing about trip' :rotfl: I promise she'll make it good... :goodvibes

That all sounds doable... I'm considering planning a Christmas party for Eddie's high school baseball team... wonder where I could fit that in... :confused3

I have decided to keep the CP ADR at MK even though it's after rope drop now. We can still get in pre-park opening, get some pictures made, my kids eat fast and enjoy the day! We will be there all day, leave for early dinner before party so I feel certain we will get to do and see what we hope to!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the input, friends!

YOU are a busy women too!!! Look at you and STILL trying to plan a party for your DH's team! Can you maybe get the stuff for him and have your kids help decorate so he can do it instead of a practice?

That sounds like a good idea! The castle picture alone should be worth it!

Oh, you are going to be a busy gal!

I am feeling sad I will be gone and miss the big reveal. Oh well, I will have to read all about it when I get back.

That's definitely a thought! Or one of the remaining Sunday evenings... I think I have two left?? That's crazy... :goodvibes

I agree!!!

I will hopefully get to meet up with you and am planning on recording the reveal on my camera and I'm happy to share!! :goodvibes But most definitely planning on doing a TR and share how our trip went with anyone willing to hear about it! :rotfl:

I can't wait to see Erin's best performance. Maybe we should find her a little Oscar! :rotfl:

My weekly update!! And it brings me to our final FULL day of our vacation... next week will be our departure day update! I can't believe that it's almost here!!

Before I discuss our last day... here's my family update... Erin's basketball team won again last night. They are really playing well! Tournament next week so will be awesome if they can win the whole thing! Time will tell! :goodvibes

Nate's birthday is tomorrow! I finally got his cake ordered... for those of you not familiar with Oklahoma football... it's a REALLY BIG DEAL. And tomorrow, is the Bedlam rival between the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University so I opted for Nate's birthday cake to be 1/2 OU and 1/2 OSU. Lots of both fans that will attend his party so it should be a good conversation piece. :rotfl: Now to get party favors together and we are ready to go for birthday! :thumbsup2 AND I will get to change his age on our signature tomorrow! :woohoo: Sounds silly but we had 5 birthdays to get through this year before our trip and tomorrow is #5!

Okay... Final Full Day!! 12/23

This day will be spent in Magic Kingdom. We just have to close our trip with time in this park.

We will grab breakfast at the Poly and hit rope drop! And we will be following a touring plan to try to get the most in on what is predicted to be a busy, busy day!!!

I think if we can hit our major must do attractions before lunch, we will be happy using whatever fast passes we've managed to grab and gear up for the parades, and Wishes!

We will leave to go to 'Ohanas for dinner!

MK and Epcot both are open late this evening, so we can decide, AFTER WISHES (I refuse to miss this before we leave), if we want to park hop over to Epcot.

This will be a commando, enjoy the World, kind of day for us!! :thumbsup2

THIRTEEN MORE DAYS!!

Thank you Ashley! Time will tell... tomorrow is the day he says he is moving out and what he told their kids... but yesterday they all spent the day together doing family stuff... so maybe?? :confused3 I just want what is the least confusing and stable for their children... and for them to be at peace and happy... is there any such thing in divorce?

I will tell Nate! Thank you!

There can be. Our parents have been separated twice. First time was back in 2000. Neither of us knew about it. Next time was in 2007 right after I had graduated high school... Super big shock to us. We never knew that our parents marriage was anything but happy, let alone finding out this wasn't the first time. This time it wasn't a shock because we both knew he had moved out.. and it was mom's decision this time. I think that made all the difference with us being okay with it and accepting it. She's decided she's ready to move on and find someone who wants and cares about her for her. And them getting a divorce is hard because it's already throwing things like Thanksgiving and Christmas for a loops. We'd rather be with Mom for things, and even my dad's family would rather be with us and mom. So we've been doing things different this year, and they have been inviting him to a desperate event to celebrate with them. Mom is taking her ring off after Christmas. This will be a big step for her.

Okay... I'm starting to stress... :rotfl: Anyone care to share their very best tips for traveling to Disney?

AND should I go ahead and purchase Eddie's park tickets now and get that out of the way??

AND should I cancel my CP ADR at MK since it's now after park opening secondary to hours changing?

Don't cancel it! You'll still be able to get in the back like 15 mins early. I know it will cut into that first hours rides, but would you want to lose being able to walk down main street almost deserted?

I will be out of town tomorrow, so an early HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATE!!!! :yay::yay::yay:

And :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: for Erin's team.

Amy, your list has me wanting a nap. I don't know how you gals to it all (I don't know how I did it all when my kids were that age ;) ).

Happy birthday to Nate! I love your obsession with changing his age in the siggy. Makes sense to me! :thumbsup2

Thank you Ashley! It's honestly just gotten worse... I'm just trying to be the sounding board for my parents now... all I can recommend for anyone willing is lots of prayers for them.

I kept it! Feel really happy about that decision!!!

Thank you Kathy! I think my 'secret' is to not look too far ahead... take it a day at a time... and cry, rant, vent as needed... :rotfl: Have a great weekend!

Congrats to Erin and her team. :cheer2:

Happy Birthday to Nate! :bday:

Thank you Ann! Have a great weekend!!

:lmao: Susan... I seriously got on here first thing this morning to do just that... :rotfl: Now I'm off to go buy birthday donuts before he wakes up and get him all sugared up before their 'season opening basketball game' which is high quality entertainment... this is the one sport the boys put the least amount of time into but yet they still think they are the next Michael Jordan. :rotfl2:

Have a great weekend!! Mine is going to be busy so most likely I will catch up with you all tomorrow!! :grouphug:

Happy Birthday Nate! I so love your cake idea...I totally get it! But then again I am a little closer geographically speaking than everyone else. What a great conversation piece for everyone! So which side does Nate go for?

Love the birthday donut idea...sugar always starts the day off great along with it being his birthday he might just play like Michael Jordan today!

I kept it! Feel really happy about that decision!!!

I will be sending good thoughts their ways! I'm sorry your caught in the middle for the parents though.

Glad you kept it! We can still do our mini meet!

Happy birthday Nate!!!

Congratulations to Erin's team! I hope that Nate had a good birthday!
Your last day plans look good! Nice and easy and a good way to say good bye to the trip!
Okay all caught up again!

I'm so far behind EVERYTHING...

Hopefully I'll be able to catch up before I leave on Sunday!

Just as a head's up...

Touring Plans chat has been ablaze all weekend with monorail issues. Some said the ferries were causing waits of an hour or more. I'll keep a close eye out as your trip gets closer.

OH! And Pocohontas, Lilo, and Jiminy Cricket have been pulled from AK but they're adding Carl and Russell from UP!
