So this is what mid-life crisis feels like? Dec 2011 PTR

I am loving the picture of the Mickey Mail...how fun. I have done quite a few FGM requests...so many that we have a collection of them on the refrig! You reminded me that I need to get over to the Famil Board and put up an ad for anyone who wants a FGM when we go...pay back for all those great postcards! My kids love them...

I love the the apple and ham sandwich in Norway...along with all the great pastries! You also can't go wrong with a good bratwurst...although I tend to want mine wrapped in a nice homemade tortilla! I hear the fish and chips at Yorkshire are great...I sure enjoyed mine inside at Rose & Crown!

Where are Eddie and the boys hunting at? What are they hunting...deer? My guys are wrapped up in goose/crane season. Looks like pheasant hunting is going to be awful this year...thanks to the hot, dry summer...

Hey...you have to enjoy some time on the couch...BEFORE you do the laundry because after the laundry starts there is NO couch! Enjoy the peace and the quiet of the boys gone...I know I live for the weekend during hunting season for a little me time!

:cool1::banana::dance3:

I love the Mickey mail faces! They are so cute!

I like Epcot plans as well! For lunch what if you all got something from a different country to share (so everyone gets a little of everything)? I can't wait to eat in the WS!!! That sounds so bad... but it's so true! I love different foods!

Thank you!! There's been a lot of good suggestions of food in WS. I like your idea of sampling several!! :goodvibes

Love the picture of the kids!!!

Thank you Ann! :goodvibes

Oh great idea about the FGM mail and signing up to send some! I even think my kids would enjoy sending some!! I will have to hop over there, as well!

I love the food ideas! The fish and chips sound really good! :thumbsup2

Eddie and the boys will be trompsing around Beaver County which is 2 hours north of Amarillo. It's deer season. Rifle doesn't officially open until Saturday, so they are going to site in guns, and 'scout' around tomorrow and then hunt Sat and Sun. Then they will come home that night, have two days of school and then we will allll go back Wed night, spend Thanksgiving day and come home Fri to be home for the weekend. SO much to do! :goodvibes

I think I've finally conceded to letting myself sleep in on Sat. My hopes are to get the house clean, laundry done, and get the christmas decor out and up. All but the lights on the house. AND somewhere in there get a 20 slide power point presentation together for one of my class projects... any takers??? :lmao: It needs to be an inservice program on guidance counseling and implementing the program... :headache: I think I'm just so vacation focused that my class work is playing second fiddle...

On a bright note... I bought tickets with a friend of mine to suprise our hubbies, her's specifically for his birthday, concert tickets in Feb to see Martina McBride and George Strait! And if anyone of you ask "Who's that?" I seriously will probably :faint: :rotfl:

Love the photos of the kids with the postcard.

Andy, our oldest, is waiting for them to announce when George and Martina are coming to Chicago. Last year, he took his dad and I for his dad's birthday to see George and Reba McEntire...one of the best concerts ever! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Tell Andy they go on sale in the morning at 10 a.m. in Tulsa, OK and he should bring his mom and dad there to go! I know somewhere you could stay really_really cheap!!! :thumbsup2

Need I say more?

There was a time in my life that the only thing on my bucket list was to dance at a George Strait concert...marked that one off of my bucket list as completed! One of the few men who just seems to get better looking with age....

The very first date Eddie and I went on was to see "Pure Country" :lovestruc

Jeff and I went on one a date to see Pure Country too...and our 1st dance was to Cross My Heart!

In college we would score guys wrangler "butts" on the George scale...George was a ten...and don't think we ever gave another guy a 10! :rotfl2:

Just so I can say ahhhhhh, again when I read your trip report....

The new Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn, was AWESOME. :thumbsup2

It had the right amount of humor, action, and romance to keep your attention for the 2 hour showing. My girlfriends and I were talking about how it appears that there's more funding being poured into these final episodes than the first Twilight movie... I'm sure because they've made a lot of money. But this one in particular to me was done very well! And I read the books before seeing any of the movies - and my least favorites were the first two movies... must sees if you haven't seen them but not ones I want to watch repeatedly... this one I will be seeing again tomorrow with Erin. I wanted to pre-screen it before taking her because I wasn't sure how they would do 'certain scenes' (don't want to give anything away) but it wasn't too bad. I'm going to talk to her about one in particular before we go but there's not any nudity - I would say a little bit more of "OH that's really gross" scenes, though. :rotfl:

But I recommend it! :thumbsup2 And as silly as it sounds... Edward and Jacob both are still just George Strait 10's! :rotfl:

I don't know if I would see them, I'm not too much of a Vampire person! I haven't seen any of them yet though!
:lmao:George strait 10's:rotfl2:

You don't have to love vampires to love these movies... the creative writing is what sucked me in! :thumbsup2 And... well... Edward and Jacob... easy on the eyes and just so :cloud9:

Oh so maybe I will check it out... I want to read them first though-- maybe if I read on the way down I won't be tempted to be tempted to mess with anything! :lmao:

Never got into the Twilight Books ...dd has begged me forever to read the Hunger Game Series...they are just 2 series of books that the topic just does not do anything for me! I said the same thing about HP, until after the 2nd movie and then I went back and read!

That is funny you say that... I actually found the Twilight book in my classroom that one of my high school students had left and read the back to see what it was about and put it down thinking I'd never be interested in that type of story.... THEN that spring break (2008), we were snowed in and Erin had been reading it - it was sitting there - I was bored and started reading it and COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN. I think I read the first one in about 24 hours. We didn't own the other 3 books... so you guessed it... I took Eddie's 4 wheel drive out the next morning and bought the other 3 and had them finished before spring break was over. I'm not sure I did anything that break!!! But read of course! :rotfl:

I'm considering reading The Hunger Games - kids are interested in the movie coming out... I like the books first. They will still always be the best. :thumbsup2

Flight update... So I get an email notifying me that our flight has changed from Houston to Tulsa on our way home from vacay... upon further inspection, I notice that the plane is not a jet plane but a propelled plane... I think me, by myself would be fine, but I'm pretty sure the rest of my family would not... :rotfl:

So anyway - without getting into the long conversation, I called yesterday to see if the airline would move us to a non-propelled flight and thankfully, they did. :goodvibes And it means we stay an hour longer at the Poly before having to leave for the airport! :woohoo:

Yeah you couldn't get me on a propelled plane! I am scared of flying I really am! So I would just be in agony the whole time! I love the extra hour at the Poly though how fun!

I definitely was NOT excited about that type of plane either! I was just grateful they accommodated my request! :goodvibes

Yes! It turned into a win/win all the way around! :thumbsup2

I need clarification... :confused3 SO I called WDW to see about my Mickey Mail (not the DME stuff - already have that)... but I thought there was a packet that came with vouchers, arrangements and the keepsake luggage tags. I've gotten this in the past... and I thought I'd read where others have received theirs.

Here's my confusion - when I called today, the CM I got said all they mail out are the DME packets - there's not anything else. Should I call back and see if I get a different answer?? :rolleyes1

I posted in the group page for you too! I am going before you and just received mine on Thursday or Friday (I forgot to post it) so yours may be coming! Mine was 3 luggage tags (because I have 3 people) and a book with the coupons that they mention you get with the magic your way package! So yes they do send it if you booked a package so yours may be coming soon since I got mine around the 2 1/2 week until Disney mark! You may want to call to check what I say because it's just what I got that I am going by!
