So this is what mid-life crisis feels like? Dec 2011 PTR

I can't fault you for going to CM... it is a must-do, at least once. I standby dinner not being so good. You want to consider breakfast maybe??? That way you could monorail over to Contemporary and then bus to AK then bus back home to the Poly at the end of the day...

Dining Room furniture vs. MK View...right now I would have to side with the dining room furniture! Save the MK view for a romantic trip...when things are not rushed and you can enjoy the view!

I am wanting to book ADR for CM at breakfast...is the food that bad at breakfast too?

I like that idea! Because this will be the evening DH will be arriving, and while it will be after 10p, I did want an easy going evening... I think that is why CM appealed to me. But I like the breakfast idea and then maybe the QS at the Poly that evening for dinner. :goodvibes

Agree! It's a done deal and I'm very happy with the change. :thumbsup2 I like the idea of a romantic trip... now to sell DH on that one! :lmao:

I can't say about the food at CM. A couple of years ago, people were raving and it was a difficult ADR to get. Over the past couple of years, people have quit raving and there are more negatives out there than positives. :confused3 Jenn made the recommendation to do breakfast as opposed to dinner so you would probably be just fine! :)

I totally agree with Tammie. Get the dinning room furniture! :goodvibes

:goodvibes Going to start looking this week!

Not too much to update - I did swap two dates though. When DH arrives, somehow I found it was actually better for us to go to Epcot on his first full day and go to Animal Kingdom on his second day.

This worked out well because we are going to eat at Tusker the morning of Animal Kingdom and one of my favorite reasons to do this is the early park entry. However, on the day we were originally going to AK, it was a morning EMH so the whole 'early park entry' due to ADR was sort of a wash. Now, it's not and we got a better ADR time by swapping the days. Thank you Jenn for introducing me to TP!

I was able to move our Cape May ADR to the new Epcot day and the Tusker and Boma's ADR to the new AK day. :goodvibes Seriously enjoyed having the online access to just do it on my own without having to call in. :thumbsup2

Also, very happy and not regretful about downgrading our room. Found that dining room furniture - it will be here next week - and I'm much closer to having our trip paid in full. ;) Win-Win situation!

Here's a new pic for the game I haven't done in a couple of weeks...

Picture points still up for grabs... anyone? anyone? anyone? :goodvibes

On a side note... last night while on the dis, some neighborhood 'dweller' put a large firework on my porch! Scared the daylights out of me and thus stopped my dis time. Wasn't sure if the picture even had posted. :upsidedow

Hi :flower3:
I'm on page 4 of your report but I just had to reply and then I'll go back to finish.

Last night my husband registered on the DIS :scared1: I know, right!!?? Anyway, I was typing on my PTR and he came across yours on his computer. He tells me repeatedly that I should come read yours and that we have some things in common or at least similiarities. So today, I come to check it out and wow, he was so right!

Just scratching the surface, we're close to your age (36 & 37) and feel the mid-life crisis coming on and I can put money on any celebration for me WILL be at Disney :lmao:. My husband and I both work in the school system. He is a band director and I'm a media specialist with lots of other responsiblities including sponsoring the danceteam. We know about football season. We've been married 16 years, we have 2 children (10 & 6) one girl, one boy. We spend any free time driving them to their afterschool activities which include softball, baseball, dancing, gymnastics, etc. We went to Disney for Christmas in 09 and it was a surprise for the kids. When we went in 09, we had just moved in our newly built house in June of that year. I remember the stress. I'm the Disney geek who convinces people to go to Disney and then offers my guidance. I have long term Disney plans so not only am I planning this trip, I also know when I want to go next and what new things I want to try. Even our conversations sound like yours. DH doesn't understand why I start planning a Disney trip a year in advance. :confused3 So now I'm hooked on reading your report because its truly nice to read about someone who understands my life. :goodvibes

I am unashamedly Disney obsessed. And the disboards keep me sane! Mostly from thinking that I'm silly for being obsessed! :rolleyes1

Me too!

We will see how the secret goes! I had to take our youngest to the doctor and when they measured his heighth I blurted out "YEAH! You are big enough for all of the rides at Disney World now!" The comment went RIGHT OVER his head, thankfully! :lmao:

It's soooo hard to keep the secret!!! We managed it and took video. I have a link in my TR. Sad to say my kids were not as emotional as I expected. I think they just needed time for it to sink in because they were truly excited. Also, I'm glad I'm not the only mom who comments about Disney rides when my kids get measured. :lmao:

Just checking in!

I'm glad everything is working out and your day swaps are falling right into place!

Your DH is going to be worn out after his flight, so anything to relax his first day is A-OK in my book!

Helllooooo!!!! Your ADRs and plans look great!!! On the day of Cape May, you could grab a Kim Possible mission after your ADR. That will kill some time, yet keep you happily in thr WS. We did this the other day. I don't know if you've done any before, but UK was so fun! Yesterday we did Mexico, China and part of France (the Kimmunicator putzed out on us partway through). This was a top highlight of Sophie and Ethan's trip thus far!

:welcome:

I love it! You are right - we do have a lot of similarities. I will say I have really enjoyed everyone I have met on the DIS. I will definitely go start your PTR! I would love to go during MNSSHP sometime! 2012, perhaps? So I want your comparisons with that time of year and Christmas!

Here's my question - how long did it take you to get your new house together? We are still trying to piece it together! :goodvibes Slowly but surely...

Look forward to visiting with you here on the DIS! :goodvibes

Hi Stacey! I have wanted to find more information on that. I think my kids would love it, too! Even if it's the day we go to Epcot for 'leisure.' :thumbsup2 Are you home? Did you have a wonderful time?
