So this is what mid-life crisis feels like? Dec 2011 PTR

Off topic - If you've followed my report from the beginning then you know I had an injured foot. I just want to share that I've begun my running this week, day 2 was today, and it's doing GREAT! I'm so happy! This was a huge concern for me - HUGE fear that it would inhibit my ability to enjoy WDW! :goodvibes And of course, help me continue on my goal to better health before I'm <ahem> 40.... :scared1: So weird to even say that... :rotfl:

But I'm in good company! WDW turns 40 this year and so does Starbucks! :woohoo:

I am glad to hear that your foot is doing well!! That has got to be a big relief. As for turning 40 this year... well...believe it or not it isn't so bad. I turn 42 this year. I swear I just turned 20..well, ok maybe 30... but in the end... I don't feel like 42 so turning it won't be so bad. (at least that is what I am telling myself.:rolleyes1)

Our flight leaves at 1 pm - what do you all think? Could we do an early ADR, like at 8:30 and be back for check out and head to airport by 10:30? :santa:

I wonder if the IPO would be able to arrange for pick up at WL instead of Poly? I am sure you would be able to make it then. If not, DME would pick you up from Poly around 10? I am pretty sure you could do a quick 8am breakfast... :thumbsup2

I have to back track and catch up on your PTR but I did have a chance to read your plans. Looks good to me. I'm still debating our MVMCP day. I'm starting to lean toward doing it as a full MK day with dinner at a resort to break up the day.

Laura - this is exactly what we are doing. At first I thought spending the day there and doing the party would be too much. But the more I thought about it - I think if we don't spend the day there, we will miss the perks of the party by trying to ride all of the rides during party time. :confused3

The methods behind our madness.... :rotfl2:

Thank you for being so encouraging! I don't feel '40' either and I think that's what matters most! :thumbsup2

DH and I talked this morning about a morning breakfast... his thought was eating at the resort either at Kona's or O'hana's. This would be fine, too!! So that being said - which would you choose? It will be OOP for us! :goodvibes

Okay - so my picture is too hard... here are some more hints...

The park is 'very magical' and the location within this magical place is 'very isolated' and one must take a raft to get there... :goodvibes

LOL... Ok, so Magical must make it MK

Isolated and a raft must make it TSI.

Where on TSI though???

I have never been to either for breakfast. I think it would depend on if you want a character meal or not. All I read about both places for breakfast though make either an awesome choice!

Okay - you are correct! 2 more points for Ann! And to answer your question of where specifically - we were in the fort on TSI by the checker boards.

I'm thinking maybe O'hana's. Would be nice to see Mickey and friends one last time before heading home. :goodvibes

Picture #2 - We were indeed in MK on TSI, specifically in the fort by the checker boards on the powder kegs. Our boys were playing checkers and we were just sitting down enjoying the 'break' and got silly with the camera. Not really sure what DD was doing? :confused3

The kids had a great time exploring this island though. All of the caves, trails, bridges... Good times! :goodvibes

I do recall as we were leaving the island that DD gave us a scare - she got dehydrated, I have no doubt, because she was shaking very badly, particularly one of her hands and she just didn't feel good. So that being said - those of you who are going in the heat - HYDRATE often. :thumbsup2 After some water, and some more shade, she was good to go. She's my one who doesn't drink much, anyway, she honestly gets that from me - I am the same way - so I try to keep tabs on her liquids intake.

I never would have guessed where had you not give then clues. :confused3 I love TSI! I always find new stuff there. Next time I will be on the look out for the powder kegs and checker boards!

I will post a pic of the boys playing when I get home! :goodvibes I didn't use that one because I thought it would be too easy! :rotfl:

My vote is Kona...I loved the Tonga Toast (Still dream about it)!!!! But that being said, I would love to visit the wilderness lodge and I have heard good things about their breakfast!

This may be hard to believe - we've stayed at the polynesian twice and have not tried out Kona... have heard all the wonderful things about this place... maybe that's the answer...:goodvibes

Ann & Co ~ Here is the pic I mentioned earlier of the boys playing checkers in the fort at Tom Sawyer's Island... so cute! :goodvibes

Oh my poor sad PTR - neglected again - and all for sweat, dirt, baseballs, and bats... and some school books.

We have officially played 19 games in 7 days, did not have games yesterday, but start back up tonight. I'm pretty much done. Walking in my sleep at work, couldn't stay awake while trying to get my hair trimmed yesterday, I kid you not!! :lmao: AND I'm trying to finish up this round of grad class - ends on the 17th next week so just busy! :upsidedow

Tonight - my youngest starts his league tournament as the #1 seeded team and then both boys each have a different tournament that begins on Saturday. However, baseball and school will all come to a screeching halt with final game on Father's Day so we are very close to some serious downtime. Will only have DH's high school games and a concession stand to contend with for a couple of more weeks. ;)

Anyway - nothing new to tell... still running and all body parts still feel fine! Trying to convince two of my girlfriends to go with me to princess half marathon weekend next year... They feel guilty not taking their kids with them... :confused3 :lmao:

Love the pic of the boys! :goodvibes

Looks like you have a lot of activities right now... I think this could very well be the time of year that PTRs get neglected. I will still read whenever you have a change to write...so don't worry about losing this reader. :goodvibes

Funny how we want the end of school to come so we can slow down in the summer...and somehow it is busier than May! Hang in there!

Thank you! I'm 9 days away from ADR's so now I'm rethinking everything!! :rotfl: Why do we do this to ourselves??

Isn't that the truth?? The main break is not having to make sure the kiddos are on top of their studies! :thumbsup2 Which is nice but we certainly do manage to fill in any potential gaps with more 'stuff!'

Okay dis friends! I did a bad bad thing yesterday! I went on easywdw to compare their crowd calendar with touring plans and now I'm rethinking some stuff! Before I do this to myself... anybody have experience with both and like one over the other? :confused3 Or does it honestly make a difference which recommendations you decide to follow for yourself?
