Okay - two new updates! I officially cancelled my ressie for Feb for POR. This is where my friend and I were going to stay for the 1/2 marathon weekend. There's no way she will be ready and I don't have any other victims who want to give it a go... so maybe next Fall for the Food and Wine festival... I can't get a refund on our entry fee... BUT I will actually be in Jacksonville Feb. 17-23 for a residency internship class for my masters - my mom is going to travel with me and I think my aunt - they can tour while I'm in conferences... and it's possible I may drag them down to Orlando for the weekend and run it anyway. Time will tell!

Secondly... ERIN FOUND OUT THE SURPRISE!!!! Little stinker! I couldn't even be mad at her! Maybe it's a blessing in disguise... will make her semester tests much more simplistic to handle her missing them and getting them completed. She threw me for a loop because we've got some family stuff going on right now and so my mind has been sidetracked with that. So when she said "Mom, I know what's going on" and I was preparing my answer to be geared towards family issues... she says "We are going to Disney World over Christmas, aren't we?" My mouth fell open and I couldn't even fake it. I asked her why she asked me that and she told me she found the pictures of the shirts, etc. that I had taken to post on here!!! My own fault!!! She's a smart cookie... so I just went ahead and told her the truth. And then we spent the next 1/2 hour going through the t-shirts (Tammie - she loved them by the way and DID NOT think they were dumb so I feel Ab will be the same way.) Her comment was "We are going to be like a real family on our vacation... because we match!" I told her we were a real family but I was happy she didn't think it was dorky to wear them.

She had a lot of questions... was totally stoked it's only 65 more days! And she pinky swore she would not tell her brothers and that she would fake surprised during the reveal and then she begged me not to let Eddie know she knows. She doesn't want him disappointed she found out, either. So I'm okay with her knowing... not my first choice but was fun talking about it with her yesterday. She did ask me about the postcard that Kathy sent while on her trip... I told her it absolutely came from WDW in Orlando and was completely legit. She accepted that it was from Mickey and Minnie. So funny... she's so smart but still wants to BELIEVE in the magic.

She also tried on her shirts and pullover... fit perfectly!

Oh no...I hope the postcard wasn't hte tip of the iceberg in her figuring it out.

At least you can have her help you with planning and keeping it from the others. She'll probably love knowing and them not.

Erin caught you....well now you have a partner in crime, I love how she wants to keep it a secret from the boys in the family! Ab asked me the other day if we were going to WDW at Christmas...apparently she is trying to connect all the dots and is getting really close.

I am glad to hear that she liked the shirts...so there is hope for Ab. I swear I love uniforms, but regular clothes for her is such a struggle.

Sorry to hear about the trip in Feb being cancelled, but it sounds like you have come up with another plan to get to WDW!

I would say I am sorry that Erin found out... but in the end... it is fun to have a partner in crime. You will still have an amazing trip! AND... now you can share in the excitement with her.

She's such a mess - a sweet mess, but a mess! It will be fun to include her in the remaining plans. So far, she's stuck to her promise of not letting anyone in on the secret.

Sorry to hear about the trip in Feb being cancelled, but it sounds like you have come up with another plan to get to WDW!

Just be super cautious with Ab if you don't want her to figure it out... that's the best advice I can give.

I'm okay with cancelling the girls trip. I'm more excited to get my residency in and being that much closer to finishing up the internships I have to do.

I'm not quite at 8 weeks but less than 9 weeks away from trip... so after my DIS friends Ann and Tammie twisted my arm into subscribing to ridemax... I decided it's time to offer up my final plans.

And of course... all plans are subject to change prior to departure or on the spot while on vacation.

12/16 - Arrival Day

4:00 a.m. Wake up kiddos! You have a present to unwrap!! Now if I had my pictures uploaded... this would be where I would insert the pictures of the kids ornaments I bought them as part of the reveal. I don't have the t-shirts yet but will wrap the two items together, each kid will have their own to unwrap and even though Erin is aware, she hasn't seen her ornament nor does she know about it.

5:00 a.m. Dressed and out the door to the airport.

5:45 a.m. Arrive at airport, check baggage, tell Eddie bye and head for security and our gate to wait for departure. Will grab some breakfast for the kids while waiting for departure.

6:55 a.m. And we're off! 40 minute plane ride to Dallas, and then a 2 hour 20 minute ride to Orlando... set to land at 1 p.m. est

Upon arrival - we will go to baggage claim, pick up our luggage and greet the driver who will take us to the Polynesian. I'm excited that we made this decision. Initially we made this decision because our plane was going to be arriving after DME ceased for the day. With it already budgeted in... we are going to keep it!

We are staying club level so I'm hopeful our room will be ready. I'm sure it will be close to 3pm anyway by the time we get there. After we check in, get settled in, I will give the kids the option to go swimming if it's warm or head over to the Wilderness Lodge and explore until our dinner ADR at Whispering Canyon.

After dinner - we will go to Fort Wilderness, I believe there is a ferry boat over from WL (anyone know for certain?). We will either do the sleigh ride through Fort Wilderness or just walk around and see the holiday decor put out by the guests there. I've heard they are spectacular!!

If the kids feel up to it - we may go to Epcot for EMH and let them ride their favorite rides - Test Track and Soarin'. Don't plan on doing a whole lot there, if we do go, if only because we are headed back the next morning.

If we don't go, we will just go back to the Poly and hang out there. Catch Wishes from the beach. There is a MVMCP this night so it will be the party version.

Then it's off to bed and sweet dreams about Epcot the next day.

I am totally not trying to pressure you...or even sound as though I am stocking you. But... Aside from most likely taking a break and going back to WL on the 16th...we will be at Epcot AND if I were to fit FW in...it might be this day. Totally not stocking you though...

Will your daughter run with you? Prayers with the in-laws are with you! Maybe you should let her in on some planning too! Oh I'm glad that she's likes everything and that it all fit! I cant wait to watch Damien's face each morning with a new shirt/underwear and socks! He loves those crazy socks so I am getting them to go with the parks!
