Right there with you on the temps...and records. I am so tired of this heat...last Saturday morning it was 49 at the cabin...I almost decided to move. Then we came home to no air on Sunday....not sure when it stopped the house was 93 inside, and of course no repairman on Sunday night! We had to endure...at it was not easy!

We have been without air three times this summer...all three of the hottest days and heat index days; sleeping was brutal...what sleep there was.

Okay... here I go tweaking the trip... AGAIN! Why do I do this to myself....

What do you all think about the following... Instead of WCC on our first full day (Epcot), my kids have not been to Ashkerhus (sp?) and we could feed our faces there for dinner... then back to Poly for evening down time as planned....

THEN... on the AK day when we want to be around for DH's arrival, instead of CM's, we could eat at Raglan Road in DTD, then do some resort hopping... POFQ, WL to see some Christmas decor?

Opinions are most welcome!

And on a side note... we are breaking records left and right for the heat we are having... we have been 31 days out of the previous 33 for 100+ temperatures... today's high is 112! It was 100 by 10 a.m. UGH! That being said... my happy self <insert sarcasm> still woke up DH this morning at 5:55 a.m. and said "Go run with me..." Bless his heart, he did... it was a toasty 89 degrees... but we did it and all I could think about is it better be much cooler come Feb. '12 at the Princess Half Marathon or I will pass out for sure!

I like the plans of Ragland Road and then resort hopping (you can use the boat to get to POFQ). We've not done Raglan Road, but it is our first meal on our trip in 7 weeks.

Quick update! I did get the ressie at Akershush (still can't spell that) for 5:10 on our Epcot day! Really happy about this. Leaves our evening to do whatever after our meal!!

I did cancel WCC... still going back and forth between there and Ragland Road for Tues evening. And have even thought about no ADR for that evening and just resort hop....

Just wanted to fill you in - crazy busy week but hope to jump back on here again later today! Going to try to catch up with a few of you all before I log off!!!

I can't pronounce Akershus. But for getting an ADR.

So no ADR for RR yet? I vote for that! It is a good restaurant.. plus it is a little less "Disney" so you can get a bit of a break (in case you need that. I know my dh needs those moments)

I ran out of time that day to look for the RR ressie! That is my next step.

Remind me... you said I could take a bus from AK to POR/FQ and tour there and then the boat to DTD where RR is and then back to Poly via bus from DTD? The Disney transportation system used to scare me...now I love the challenge!

I think I'm going to make an early ADR so we aren't rushed to get back to resort to meet DH.

Yup.. AK to POR/FQ via the bus. Then on the boat to DTD and then back on the bus to Poly.

I really wanted to do RR (for the bread pudding), but the kids saw T-Rex and of course there was no other place. The little quick service with RR has fried candy bar on the menu...oh to die for...ready for the fair to get here so I can indulge!

I'm glad that you got your reservation! And the heat has been so bad here too! And we have not had as much rain as we usually have had! So what did you decide to do..... RR or eat while touring resorts?

We love the fair, too... much more of a germ mess than WDW for sure but we manage!! Fried butter....

'new consideration' for our "what to do after we leave AK" day... yesterday, I found out that one of our friends will also be surprising their children with a xmas trip and as soon as I let them know it was free dining, they booked the 17-26 at POR. We aren't planning on spending the entire trip together but did want to meet up for a meal or some park time. SO my friend's b-day is the 20th - she wanted to meet up then - this is our night that we've been tossing around resort hopping and RR... and guess where she wants to eat??? CHEF MICKEY'S which is where our current ADR is right now.... So I have not decided yet what we will do... this is their 4th trip to WDW so they are familiar with everything Disney but her birthday dinner of choice is at CM's. Wondering if I will have to RR in Feb?? Isn't life funny, sometimes?

Secondly... I entered into the "CLUB" yesterday... I'm officially 40 and ____ (you fill in the blank...) Have had a nice weekend... have one assignment due that must be tackled today but other than that, has been a good experience 'so far.'

So you will notice my signature has now been officially updated... and that means only two more birthdays (DH and youngest DS) before our trip!

I'm so sorry I missed your birthday. I hope you had a great day and that the family treated you like royalty and did NOT do what they did for my 40th....which was to put 40 dinosaurs on my front lawn because my chldren said I was "extinct."

I wish it wasn't a club that we had to be in... but I guess there are worse ones.
