So tell me your thoughts on Carnation Cafe

Thanks for the info. Guess I will just make the make them for a random day and plan on going to DL then. I love potato soup, so I will definitely try it.

I LOVED Carnation when I went as a kid (actually, when it was a bigger restaurant going into where the bakery is now). So I was dying to go back when we went last fall, even though it had been nearly 15 years. Still LOVED it. We went for breakfast and it was sooooooooooo good. We actually did the latest breakfast seating and treated it more like brunch/an early lunch. Very delicious and I wasn't at all dissapointed (you know, sometimes you remember things as better than they really are?). Plus, Chef Oscar who has apparently been there for like 50 years came out of the kitchen to personally talk to all the customers and ask how their meals were. I have NEVER had that happen anywhere else and it was really neat. Plus it's such a cute little sidewalk cafe now.

One of my favorite ideas for Carnation Cafe is when I was a little girl and my grandma took me to Disneyland for my birthday. This was a treat because I never got my grandma to myself. We had dinner and had the BEST cesear salad. I am going back and my boyfriend and I are planning lunch there. Big question though, my boyfriend loves Tuna Sandwiches, do they have it at Carnation or is there a resturant that has that?

I loooooove Carnation Cafe! I think this is probably my favorite place to eat in the park. Breakfast is sooo yummy i always get the cinnamon roll french toast. For lunch the sanwiches are okay but what makes the meal is the baked potato soup! And Oscar is such a sweet guy.

Thanks for all the information. I made PS yesterday for the Carnation Cafe for lunch. Looking forward to the baked potato soup.

oooh, you are all making me sooo hungry...we have PS there for lunch in April...it will be our first time at CC...I want that loaded baked potato soup NOW :yay:

Has anyone had the soup in the summer? Does it feel "wrong" to eat it in the heat. I love that kind of soup, but wondering how I would like it at the end of June. :rotfl:

Glad to hear lots of good comments about CC, we are going to Disneyland for the first time in september and plan to have breakfast there :)

Tuna???? You know I don't think I've ever noticed tuna on the menus. You can check menus at allears.net. :)
