We have always used a service but I have heard people talk about the Disneyland express or whatever it is called. The one that is 35.00 or whatever. This trip we are taking is a "budget" trip and so we would love to try and save some money so I would love to hear about this shuttle service. Anyone?

I don't know anything about the Disneyland Express, but Super Shuttle is only $10 pp one-way from Orange County.

We took the Disneyland Express last time we were there, and it worked out very well. If you book online, you can save $2 per person. This ends up being $13 for adults and $11 for kids each way. Kids under a certain age are free. I think it is 3 years or younger.

We have also used Super Shuttle, which is slightly cheaper at $10 each way. I will say, though, that the vans are not as nice and don't have nearly the room for luggage. Every time we have taken Super Shuttle, the van has been really full and the luggage is really shoved in there. We had so much luggage last time, there is NO WAY it would have fit in there along with all the other passengers'.

The Disneyland express is a large touring style coach bus with room for the luggage underneath the outside of the bus as well as above you inside. The big advantage for us was that our daugher was 2 at the time and would have recquired a car seat on the Super Shuttle, which meant hauling it down there on the plane and then taking the time to get it installed each way. No car seat was required on the Disneyland Express, since it has bus style seats. I am a crazy mom as far as safety is concerned, so I wasn't too sure about her riding without the car seat, but the convenience of it more than made up for my fears. Plus, I felt totally safe the entire ride, and held her in my lap the whole way.

The service was better on the Disneyland Express and the vehicle was MUCH nicer. For us, the couple of extra bucks for this shuttle was worth it.

Have a great trip!

Great shuttle
even if you don't book online you can virtually walk out the doors of John Wayne airport and it is right there about just a hop skip and a jumpp from the main doors. They help with the luggage upon arrival at your destination and are very friendly. I did this shuttle last year with three kids and an infant, had not booked in advance. It was summer time and I think we waited ten minutes. Very simple and nice alternative to LA freeways.

Thanks so much everyone. I found the link and booked a roundtrip online. I was able to get the roundtrip for 5 of us with the discount for 99. Not too bad considering the service I used last time cost us 120 and then we had to pay a tip on top of that. The only part that could be a problem is if our plane is late we might have to wait a bit as we come in at night but I guess that is a chance we will have to take. The price is def right! And when we leave they are picking us up right in front of Tony Roma's as we are staying at the Ramada Maingate and I guess that is their pickup spot for that hotel or for hotels in that area. I already arranged a pickup time so I feel pretty good about it. Now I don't have to worry about it. It is already paid for.

Thanks for the info and glad to hear that others were happy with it. If it works out for us I will know who to use for the next trip! :)

You didn't want to consider a cab? It runs around $40 one way with no stops in between- unless you need to. And it's on your time- no waiting

I used Super Shuttle last week with no problems. $18 total with a roundtrip purchase, plus tip.

I, too, would second a cab. The shuttles go to several hotels, and don't leave the airport until they are full. With a cab, you walk out, hop in, and are at your hotel very quickly.

The only reason I didn't want to use a cab is because of the trip BACK. I knew I could do it going FROM the airport but I was worried about getting BACK. I didn't want to have to worry about trying to arrange a cab or whatever to get us back. This way it is all booked and I don't have to worry about it. Plus there is 5 of us and we are going to have probably 3 or 4 bags and I don't know about fitting 5 people and all those bags in a cab.

I had asked about a cab in the past and someone told me getting the guaranteed fair FROM The airport was no problem but getting it going BACK was not as easy and we want to go to the parks most of the day on Thursday before we leave and I don't want to have to worry about the person being there etc etc. This way I know that the shuttle will be there. Sure I may have been able to save 10 bucks but it is worth the extra 10 to guarantee that he will be there on time and that I am not going to get charged extra. Plus a cab would probably expect a tip. I know I had to hire a cab to take us from the loading area for the ART's by Disneyland just over to the Hilton by the convention center and he charged us almost 10 bucks for like a half mile. It was a total scam but we were tired and didn't want to walk.

We used Prime Time shuttle and it was $30 for a shared van from SNA. We ended up being the only people on it so that worked out great. My only small complaint would be that I had pre-booked them and I had to wait about 10 minutes for them to arrive and then we waited another 10 minutes in case he could pick up another ride. On the way back, they arrived a few minutes early with the van already full so again, we had no stops on the way back (we stayed at the GCH).
