So tell me about the popcorn.....

Yes, the box (which is the smaller) is a snack credit. It's delicious! Made the perfect midnight snack during extra magic hours last summer!
Thanx! I didn't use my snack credits much last time, and we had to scramble to use them at the end of the trip. It will be nice to snag some popcorn for the kids for parades and such. Who knew there was so much to say about popcorn? I've seen two threads!

I work at ODF at DHS and we sell both the Ghost and Snowman buckets, no special event needed. The only thing is that, at least at DHS, we only put Caramel Corn in those buckets. They were sold for $12 (double the price of the normal caramel corn buckets!) and they sold out early in the season.

Thanks for the heads-up! I'll make sure to check ODF at DHS in September for the Mickey Ghost bucket. We will be in DHS before our MNSSHP night. Since our MNSSHP night is our last night, I need to start the search when we arrive! The caramel popcorn will be a bonus.

Umm... question though - what is ODF? I went to Disney's DHS page and checked all the dining - but didn't see anything that fit.

Ooops sorry! Haha, ODF is Disney-language for Outdoor Foods. Those buckets are specifically at the three metal-looking popcorn stands: Hollywood (the one by Starring Rolls), Animation (the one right outside the Animation courtyard, where Voyage of the Little Mermaid is), and GMR (the one right outside the exit for Great Movie Ride).

Hope that helps!

Yes, thank you! :goodvibes

I'll add the information to my notes so I don't forget by September.

Does anyone know if Disney is going to release popcorn buckets like the Halloween Mickey Ghost or the Mickey Snowman for other holidays? Also, is there any where you can buy these online other than Ebay?

Thanks,
Christal

DaniB~ those are really cute!! Now I'm even more excited!!!!!

I did google images of disney popcorn buckets & noticed a lot of them seem to have lids & straps on them? Am I looking at the right ones? and then there are pictures of ones that are just open collector buckets like you can sometimes get at movie premiers...... which ones are the ones you get at the parks?

The ones with straps are more than likely from Tokyo Disney Resort and are exclusive to those parks.

We have bought the buckets at each park in WDW on our trips in 2008, 9, and 2010 and all the popcorn buckets had lids and handles.

Yes, this is why the ones they saw in pictures with straps are probably from Tokyo Disney Resort.

I'm totally craving popcorn right now after reading this! I can't wait to get a bucket whenever I finally get back to the world!

My dd's favorite snack is popcorn and the bucket makes a great souvenir so we always get a bucket. Personally I don't think it tastes any better than popcorn I've had other places ;)
