So tell me about the pool(s) at Boardwalk Inn

I do not like creepy clowns, but I do not mind the main pool area at all. Even at night, I was thinking it would be creepier, but it looks nice at night.

We enjoy the BWV quiet pool, it's not very big, but we found it to be quiet and not crowded.

BWI and BWV are great hotels and we enjoy the nighttime atmosphere very much. The location is great, quick walk to EP and a nice walk to DS.

The clown for us was never an issue. My kids did the slide over and over! They actually like that slide better than the one in stormalong bay!! My DH liked the food and bar area too! Have fun!!

I bet I would like it better as well. The slide at SAB is somewhat intense to me. Is the Boardwalk slide a completely open slide, not enclosed at all?

As a child, I was terrified of clowns. As an adult, I simply don't like them.
I wasn't bothered by the pool at all, and in fact, posed with the clown for pics to send to friends and family.
BWI is easily my favorite pool after Stormalong Bay at YC/BC. It's just a really beautiful location! BWI was our first stay on the Epcot loop after swearing we were monorail people for life. We checked into our room (which was beautiful), checked out the view (which was the best we've ever had at WDW), had lunch at BW Bakery (which was delicious), and then headed to the pool. After about 10 min. of bobbing in it, I turned to my beloved, and said "I think we have a new home, don't we?" and he agreed.

I also find the water there to be more refreshing than at other resorts. The quiet pool on the Inn side is also lovely, but if there's more than 1/2 dozen people in it, it begins to feel crowded.

I've seen one creepy shot of it, but it's from above looking down. When you're at ground level it just, to me, doesn't look bad.

The BW slide is completely open, I like to go down the slide sitting up. DH likes to go down like a torpedo. You can make it slower or faster. I do not like the tube, totally enclosed slides. I am way to claustrophobic.

The clown pool is only creepy if one has an irrational fear of clowns. Otherwise it's merely an homage to the Luna Parks of the olden days.

Ya, I don't like the enclosed slides to well at all. I was somewhat taken back the first time I rode the slide at SAB.
