Today I was on my way home from work, and I saw an ad in a bus stop for Carsland. The weird thing is... this is in an outlying suburb of Vancouver, BC... not even in the same COUNTRY as DL! We're like a 3 hour flight away, and there's street level advertising for CL here! Crazy to think how much effort they've put into the advertising for this!

His is a prime example of why I tell people who ask about CA school vacations that they need to look at much more than just CA. People come from alllll over to go to DLR.

With the opening of Carsland and the incredible high price increase on AP, I think that they are trying to increase the percentage of non-local visitors over locals.

I am a 15 hour flight away from LA and we have seen three newspaper articles and one magazine article about carsland We arent even in the same hemisphere! LOL

Yep, here in Australia we are seeing lots of TV and newspaper advertising for Carsland. I do a little internal happy dance whenever it's on TV - we are so fortunate to be going in Sept/Oct.

Also one of the main morning TV shows here in Australia is in Disneyland all this week, so basically a 3 hour a day, 5 day advertisment.

They have been advertising Carsland a lot here in Colorado too. Which surprised me and impresses me. It always annoys me when I see Disney advertisements and they are for WDW when DL is so much closer. Glad they are giving DL its just due. I want Carsland to be a huge success so they will put more money into the CA parks and give them the attention and respect they deserve.

Not everyone learns about Disneyland and its new offerings from internet forums or mouse-focused websites, so yes, now that Disney has opened a HUGE addition to their park (and spent plenty of $$ on it), it only makes sense that they would advertise near and far for everyone to come check it out.

I saw a bus shelter ad in Maple Ridge, BC the other day too. I did a double take! lol!
