We Originally booked SSR for our 11 night stay in late Aug. I patiently waited , and waited till our 7th month, to try and get a BCV, or BWV Studio. We were able to do a split stay at BWV, 8 nights in a standard studio and 3 nights in a Pool view. w/ a request for all standard. Well we just found out that we got our request honored & now currently have all 11 nights in a standard studio for only a mere 163 points. How great is that...My 1st DVC trip and I can't wait...

The only downer right now is the darn airfare...3 weeks ago it was like 860 for 4 of us. Now it's up to 1200....

just a thought...check airfares on Tues or Wed...those are typically the least expensive days to book airline tickets...good luck & congrats on getting your dates w/so few points! DVC rocks!

How cool! We just had a standard view waitlist come thru to add one night at the beginning of our BWV stay as well.

I wasn't holding my breath since we only made the request a few weeks ago but I checked online last night and yippee...one more night in WDW

We're going to BWV in August too (leaving when you arrive). This is our first time at BWV (and our last DVC resort to try in FL). I had wanted to do the std. view but not all nights were available & I didn't think they'd all come thru (wanted 9 nights) & so I didn't waitlist. It's sucking down several more points to do the Boardwalk view but everyone says it's awesome so I am looking forward to it. We don't spend much time in our room though so I HOPE we like it and that the points are worth it.

RE: airfare...I was watching for SW to release their schedule out of BWI back in January & was disappointed with how high it was. I ended up booking on United out of Dulles because for the 3 of us it was almost $200 cheaper AND we got assigned seats. I got $210 pp round trip which I still thought was high compared to other trips we've done in the summer. SW doesn't charge for bags and United does so I will give it my best shot to pack in carry-ons only. If I can't pack that light then we'll check 1 large shared bag max. I KNOW I can do that. The same flights I booked are now up to $250 pp. Airfare is CRAZY high right now. I'm glad I booked when I did 'cuz it's like playing Roulette. Good luck finding something affordable!
