How much does a partial hook up site and full hook-up site, run,by the month, at FW?

Ft. Wilderness does not have monthly rates so it is the applicable daily rate times the number of days. It used to be your rate was based on which season your reservation started on then it carried through for your entire reservation. For example, if your first day of your reservation was in value season that price was applicable for the entire reservation even if it extended into the holiday season. Disney has done away with that. They now have different rates for some days of the week as well as a slight increase for certain holidays. They do still have the season rates so the daily rates will also be different, a value season Saturday versus a holiday season Saturday. There is always the possibility of a AAA or AP discount but those may be limited to a number of days.

Yep... Chris is correct. The monthly rates disappeared in 2007. You now pay a day-by-day rate, with weekends being higher that weekdays.

Rough estimate for 2008 without taxes for full hook up for Oct is $1500, Nov $1450, Dec $2100. We talked to AAA last week they will not do room only rates at FW. They will do an AP package if you have the pass.

Did that change with AAA? I have a camping spot only with the AAA rate. It's about $10 a night less than regular.

I don't go through AAA, I called direct to Disney and requested the AAA discount. Got it all 3 times I went there including this upcoming June. Maybe they're trying to get you to do your booking through AAA. They don't do 10 day passes so we didn't use them and it has worked out. Looks like we'll be at the fort at the same time. Honestly how do these snowbirds afford staying here with the prices changing so much? I mean you think they would have a season fee...not a everyday is different hope you don't wanna stay here on the weekends fee!

Curt is correct, make your reservations directly through Disney. If there is no AAA discount for the dates you want make your reservations anyway to secure your dates. You can call back often to inquire if a AAA discount is available that can be applied to your reservation. Disney will credit back the difference.

I'm sure Disney feels that they can make more money by doing away with the season fee. As popular as The Fort is there will always be folks who will pay the prices. Like everything else the prices continue to go up. I'm sure there is going to come a time when it will be too costly for us to stay there.

I've never been asked for my member # or asked to show the card.

When I made my ressies a couple of weeks ago, I was asked for my member number and told that I would have to show it at check in. A couple of years ago, I can't remember if I had to give it when I made the ressie, but don't think I showed it at checkin. I guess it depends on the CM.

I had to give them my AAA member number when I booked my fall reservation and the last time I camped, I was asked for it at check-in.

I've used the AAA 3 times. The first 2 times they never asked for it. This 3rd time they requested it while making the reservation with the expiration date also. Have yet to be asked to see it at Disney itself but I wouldn't chance it. It saves me way more than the cost of having it, besides what it was intended for anyway. I saved $220 last time at Disney and it only cost me $79 for the better one too! For me, it's a no brainer.
