Well, I think they are trying to keep it under control. I was in the Emporium after a wait of 5 people. Managed to buy the stuff I wanted (spent about 35,000 credits in a hurry), and then I got booted from the room. In other words, don't be too slow to finish your shopping! Get in for your daily credits and your shopping and then get out, or they will force you out.
