Hello
It is with great regret and much sadness that I have cancelled my holiday to Disneyworld in May. My father passed away very suddenly a few weeks ago and I cannot now leave my mother here alone. It has been seven very sad weeks since I watched it happen and I feel as if my world has been ripped apart and tumbled upside down. Words cannot express how devastated I feel at the moment.

So sorry for your loss. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family.

:grouphug: I am very sorry your father passed away. It does seem extra cruel when it happens suddenly. I'm curious as to why you can't leave your mother--is she disabled or otherwise dependent on you? Is there anyway you could take her with you and not cancel your trip? I know it's only been 7wks, but it might do all of you some good to do something fun now.

I am so sorry for your loss. Having now lost both my parents, I can understand your pain. :grouphug: I can tell you that while the grief does not completely go away, things do start to get better in the coming months.

I hope that when you and your mom are feeling up to it, you can reschedule your trip and take her along. :lovestruc

:grouphug: I am so sorry for your loss, maybe a trip is what the whole family needs to help with the healing process.

I'm sorry for your loss but totally agree with rthutchens. Pixie Dust has special healing powers at my house. :grouphug:

Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts and words of support. Although presently, things are difficult and painful, I am at some point planning to reschedule to take mum with me, although it may not be for many months yet. We're taking every day as it comes, one at a time in the hope that things have to start to feel better.
Hugs and blessings to you all
