I can not get a dinner ADR, (for a time prior to 7:30), for our entire 8 night trip (Aug 14-22)! I did manage a late lunch ADR, but I see that the menu is slightly more limited. I am sad because it is one of only a couple restaurants that all members of my family voted as a "must." I will continue to call back and check, though.

Don't feel too bad about LeCellier. We prefer to eat a late lunch there. It's much less crowded and a great break in the day. We must have different tastes because I prefer the lunch menu to the dinner one.

Good Luck on your ADR for LeCellier! That is one of our "must do's" too! We also enjoy the lunch menu!

Have a great trip!!

Keep trying back in case someone cancels.
Also, it's not so bad to eat that late (unless you have little kids, I guess).

WS has the best options for snack credits. I think lunch is preferred so maybe you have room for a snack from some country before the fireworks.

Keep trying back and hopefully someone will cancel! I hope you get the ressie you want! :)

Our lunch there was wonderful!!! I had the filet, and dh had the big steak, whatever that was. LOL

We had absolutely no complaints.

Keep calling back, many people multiple book,

And eventually they will cancel and you might get in, don't give up.

We are on a wait-list for Le Cellier for August. I personally don't think it's all that great but DH loves it so I was trying to get dinner for he and I one night and put the kids in child care. I have the itinerary planning office trying different dates and times.

I also tried to get us in for our upcoming trip (almost 100 days out) and no such luck. We are also on a waiting list, but since we leave this sunday it doesn't look good.

So beware folks...if you want to eat some place special - MAKE SURE YOU MAKE ADR's!

Jill

I think alot of ADRs will open up because I know of several people who way overbooked them in the hopes of free dining. SInce FD starts so late they are either going to have to cancel some of them or all of them depending on what they choose. A friend of mine has LeCellier booked for 4 dinners from August 13-19. She also double booked because she just could not make her mind up. I really wanna hit her because that irritates me and I am trying for ADRS that time too. Anyway.. I know she is not the only one and they will have to cancel soemthing.. somewhere. She has no intentions of eating there 4 times in 6 days.

I would keep trying, call the 800 number every day and with a bit of luck you may get one...

Chloesmom - Could you hit her for all of us who are trying to get in?? ;)

Esp in the august heat, lunch at Le Cellier may end up being a blessing in disguise! Just think --- Hot, Tired, Sweaty.... Nice, cool tall glass of ice tea and a GOOD lunch, in A/C. Viola! Revitalized! :cool1:

Keep trying. Last month we tried calling to get an ADR there (for May) and couldn't get any earlier than 9:00 (or something crazy like that). Well with a little one that just wasn't going to work out so we tried one last time and some pixie dust had been sprinkled right before we called and we actually got a decent time. We lucked out - someone must have canceled.
Hope you get it!

I have an adr for 4pm on 8/31. It was either 4pm or 8pm. With two little ones I thought 4pm would be better. Does anyone know if 4pm is dinner or lunch? :confused3

I believe 4pm will be dinner. I think a late lunch is almost preferable. It will probably be a little less crowded.

I just got a 4 PM for august also!

I was able to get an adr for Le Cellier on August 6 @ 7:40pm but that was it. We don't normally eat dinner that late (usually around 5:30-6) but 7:40 was the earliest they had left.:confused3 I made my adr about 2 weekends ago.

4 pm is dinner. I called today for Sept 4 reservations and they only had a 4 or 8:50. I took the 4 and asked if it was dinner.

You are not alone... I just called for 9/13-9/18 and nothing was available... then I asked if maybe there was something for our upcoming trip 5/17-5/22 and nothing then either. Oh well. I will try again when I complete my ADR's!
