Today my son gave me the results for the NYC wide test ELA and math:
He got 4 in both test!!!!. (Highest score) He gave me a home made card and wrote a poem that read:
----I studied hard
I thought it through
I did my best to do
well in test
Now look inside
for my results
I hope you think
I tried my best too...

I cried so hard. : I would like to reward him with something special. We are going to Disney this August we will be there for 14 days,I would like to surprise him while we are at Disney, but have no clue, any ideas? (keeping in mind that he is 8yrs old) TIA

How about a Pal Mickey? There is a phone number somewhere - the budget board I think - where you can get one for $27.99. Or some Disney Dollars? My DS is almost 8 and loves getting those!

OH how wonderful. I work in the school system and I am not a fan of the many tests we give. BUT when a child makes a good grade it is awesome. What a sweet child to do what he did with the card and poem.
