After of course I've gotten our reservations and some things are completely booked up.
Has anyone had luck with a CM adding one to a reservation on the phone? Or should I ask to add a 2nd reservation of 2 people at the same time?

I had really good luck with a CM a few weeks ago. It turns out that my husband will be able to join us, so my reservations all needed to go from two to three. She was able to do this for all but one of my ADRs (7:00 AM Chef Mickey's breakfast). If she didn't need to change the time (just modifying the number in the party), my reservation confirmation number didn't change. It's helpful to have all of your ADR confirmation numbers in front of you when you call. The CM wasn't able to see all of my ADRs together. As she was modifying, I could see the updates on MDE show up almost immediately.

I should add that I went through the DVC Member Services to do this -- I called to add my husband to our BLT reservation and she asked if I needed to adjust any dining plans.

Good luck!

I would call to try and change your existing reservations as much as possible. That way, you'll all be seated at the same table together. If you have two ADRs (even if they are for the same time), there is a chance that the restaurant won't be able to combine them and/or they won't be able to seat you near each other (or at the same time).

I would first call the dining reservation line and see if any of the reservations can be modified. For the ones that can't be changed it means there's no availability for a party of 5. You'll need to start checking online to book a new reservation for 5 or you can try for 6 since in most cases you'll be seated at a 6 top. You could also try for a reservation for 2 or ask when you call if anything is available, but then you would have to ask if it is possible to all be seated at one table when you check in at the restaurant. There's no way to link the reservations together.

If this is for your November trip you have a lot of time to keep checking for a new reservation. You can also subscribe to the November cancellation thread.
