With the 30% Room Only discount out, will they even do a FD for summer? FD actually saves me more, and I would have to change my dates for the 30% discount, which I would happily do. I'm just wondering if they will do a FD for the summer, then I wouldn't have to change dates/adr's.

I'm in the same boat. I'm leaning towards keeping my vacation starting the 17th because crowds go way down then because of schools starting and I will just wait and see about FD. For me, if I'm dealing with the heat already I'd rather have low crowds.

There is little to no historical precedent for a public free dining offer for summer arrivals in June and July. The closest we came was a few (and I mean just a handful) of dates in late May and early June 2011. If public free dining is offered this year, it would be for arrivals starting in mid August.

So if you are planning to go in June or July 2013, this new room discount is likely to be your deal.

Usually the mid August to September free dining is called late summer dining.

I got a pin code for 2010, 2011, and 2012 for free dining in July. I have not received any for the summer months this year for free dining so I went ahead and booked the 20% off. But I am still hoping for that magical pin code with free dining for July.

Usually the mid August to September free dining is called fall free dining.

The Aug/Sept deal is the "late summer" offer. "Fall" is Oct-Dec.

Most years they have ever had a free dining discount, they have had simultaneous room only discounts - and the room only discounts used to be good, like 40% off at deluxe resorts.

The late summer/early fall discounts should be released in the next few weeks. I would say the start date this year will either be August 18 or 24.

And this is my issue. If it started the 18th, that would be super. If it starts a week later, that won't work for me, and I would need to bump my dates back and get into the 30% off discount. But we won't know what the dates will be for FD for a few more weeks.

So......I can wait, and if I do, and the FD dates work for me, that's great! If I have to change to 30%, and I wait, they could be sold out. If I change to 30% and the FD dates work, then I have to change again! And then there are the adr's!!!!! OMGoodness!!!

Oh well..... What can you do? Anyone want to take bets on FD dates?
