Our camera runs on AA batteries, so we need recommendations for a good brand of rechargeable NiMH AAs and a battery charger. It does not need to be a super fast 1 hour charger, just a good one.

Thanks!!

I would never spend big bucks on rechargables, I tend to lose them way before they fail.

I do stock up on batteries(nimhs) cheap ones from Frys, sometimes the same price as alkalines.

WalMart and Sam's Club are our NiMH purveyors of choice...batt's and chargers. I try to get the 2500 MaH varitey.

i use NiMH in my flashes as they recycle quicker than alkalines. i always buy them in asia when ever i'm there as they are not too much more than duracells here. i also use them in external battery packs for my P2000 and psp. i generally buy the sanyos as they have been better at holding a charge over time and not getting 'memory'. make sure you completely discharge your NiMH batteries once a month to maintain the best capacity. also, i've found the rapid chargers don't generally the batteries a full charge. the one i have is now just used to recharge batteries in my DD's cd player.

You will go broke buying alkaline batteries. When buying rechargeable batteries look for the largest number. The larger the number the longer the batteries will last. Alkalines are about 800 mah ( I think) and the newer NiMh batteries range from 2300 to 2800. A four pack and charger should be $20-30. The new chargers have a foldaway plug for easier packing.

When I bought my Fuji digicam I spent the extra on two sets of Monster Cable brand AA batteries and a charger. These batts never failed me, and lasted all day long at WDW, even shooting a lot with the built in flash.
