If this was anywhere other then a school where kids are coddled and bullies are handled correctly instead of tip-toed around I highly doubt it would have been allowed to continue for this long, the punch would never have been an issue at all. If this was in a workplace it would be labeled harassment, especially with it continuing outside of school.
Clearly talking doesn't work with this kid, hopefully a punch in the mouth will. Oh and, taking bets on how long it takes for someone to suggest the poor bully has a hidden issue OPs family is not aware of and should be more sensitive to.
