I called last week and had the very friendly CM check our names in the system to see if we could apply anything to our April trip, and lo and behold, my mother had one of the coveted 40% codes attached to her name!
I was told she could use it on either a room-only or an entire package (room, Magic Your Way plus dining) if we wished. I called Mom to share the good news and we started playing around with some dates in December, as it was too late to use it for our April trip without switching resorts.
Fast forward a few days later, and Mom goes ahead and calls to book the package. After she is finished, she called me with the news, and then: "By the way, the CM would only apply it to a room-only, not the entire package."
WHAT??
We were told we could use it on a package, and from a lot of the threads I've been reading, folks have been using this 40% code on packages...not just room-only...right??
So now that she's booked, if we call them back and tell them we were supposed to have the code applied to our entire package, will they be able to make that change, or is it too late? I am so disappointed, and I wish Mom had questioned the CM about why he wasn't applying it to the whole package...but she's new at this whole booking thing...I'm usually the one who handles it. I just hate to think she was "ripped off" (even though saving 40% on room-only is better than nothing, we were told we could use it on the entire package).
