So Much To Celebrate - LIFE and Sophie Kate!

Isn't it great that relaxing non-park time at Disney can still be filled with so much fun and interesting things to do!!!

You got some great pictures at CBR, and it looks like they have some interesting merchandise! (well, outside of all the jewelry and necklaces.....) ;)

The girls enjoying one of their play places.

I think I would have probably been right in the middle of this with her! :scratchin

Hey, they sent over one of the tables from Sci Fi!!!! :goodvibes

And to the girls' delight, the night ended with swimming.
Pool time is always a great way to end the day!!! :thumbsup2

Looks like a fun bit of "down" time!!! :)

We did get some snow in Minnesota this morning with more to come, but not as bad as they were saying. Since I retired though I don't mind it. In fact my dh says I've developed an evil laugh every time I see the roads are bad. They even had to shut down the light rail because of ice on the overhead lines. In southern Minnesota (Worthington) they had a big ice storm yesterday that knocked down a lot of power lines. They had it on the news and showed power poles snapped off, a whole bunch in a row. Funny bird story. When we walked around the boardwalk in Jan. we let the kids run on the beach by the Beach Club. As I was following them to get pictures, they chased a big bunch of sea gulls right at me. That was a little scary even though I'm not afraid of birds. I just kind of covered my head and my daughter laughed and said I should have gotten a movie of it. Oh yeah, that's what I was thinking.

Good morning, I hope you are ready for the potential bad weather heading our way. Is it hitting Nashville also? I do not like storms, so I dread tonight. Hope it is better than predicted. Thanks for all the encouragement for my race. I have always wanted to run the 1/2 marathon. It will take alot of work, but I want to do it. My DH is going to train with me to a point. He has a heart condition from birth so I do not want him to do the 1/2 but he could run with me up to 6 miles. Thanks Pat for the encouragement!!
Love the CBR picture. I want to explore that resort someday.

We've been dismissed from school early due to the predicted severe weather. After April 27, 2011 all the schools tend to be very cautious with early dismissal. The good news is I am home 4 hours earlier than I was supposed to be so I guess it is time to pull the suitcases out of the garage because we leave for Disney tomorrow.

I am glad you are our of the hallway and probably out of the watch too?

Happy packing. Packing the night before???? :scared1: Although I have gotten quite good at it lately myself but I am only packing for myself. :rotfl:

The kids looked like they had a ball playing on the beach & hammock.:goodvibes

They sure did! They flipped and flopped all over the hammocks, played in the sand, and ran around on the beach being sweet silly kids.

Bella would have said, "Sure, come on!"...and she would have given you all her blocks. She is the best at sharing! ::yes::

Brooklynn has honed her hooping skills at Disney parks and resorts, especially at Pop. :goodvibes

Jill was semi-attacked by a little bird once when she was about 4-5. She was going to the end of the driveway to get the paper, and I guess she unknowingly got too close to a nest. Mama Bird was not happy with her.

No snow here, but as you may have seen, there were thunderstorms and tornado drills.

I think it has all moved off toward you now. Stay safe, and keep us posted!

CBR is a pretty place. I like the colors, the music, and pretty much everything about the Port Royale area.

I'd have to agree with this! But then, I bet it's lovely any time! :goodvibes

It is. I hope to stay there for a couple of nights someday.

Extra time for packing. You sure needed that!

Too bad you aren't making your trip down there now, Dad. You could meet Jill and the girls, which is a lot more exciting than meeting me.

We've sent everything toward Cara for the evening, I think.

She said she had the girls' clothes in ziplock bags. She also said there is a Target close to where they are staying tomorrow night, in case they forget anything. That's nice to have as a back-up plan, if needed, but I bet the packing pro will have it all in place before bedtime tonight. :thumbsup2

every night on vacation SHOULD end with swimming! At least for the little ones :thumbsup2

Love the White Ibis picture

Don't love the weather scare but being home 4 hours early, to pack for Disney, is :cool1:

Best of luck on the packing, Jill!
I'll be following along on your adventures with your MIL...

Well my extra four hours didn't help me get a jumpstart on packing. I spent most if the time monitoring the weather, preparing the hallway for a warning, and then spending about 30-40 minutes in said hallway with 3 little girls and the dog. There are some poles and trees down and some lost power, but not a major amount of damage. I started packing at 8:15 and here it is 10:15 and I am in bed. Suitcases are packed and by the door. I'm pretty sure it has to be a new record especially factoring in the amount of stuff Sophie needs (diapers, wipes, food, etc.)!

Found this TR the other day and I am gradually making my way through, I was going to wait to comment until I was caught up but didn't want to get too far behind.

The title of your TR drew me in, about Celebrating LIFE, I bet it was scary to have Jill so sick and not knowing what it was at first. I am a Nurse and I know how quickly things like that can happen and how scary it is. So glad to know she is doing well, and that beautiful baby girl is getting big, just looking at the trip pictures and then the ones at the Zoo (that's where I am at this point).

Love all your great pictures, it was neat to see the ones at night of the new Dumbo and then the Fireworks.

Love all the Epcot and F&G Pics and all the shopping ones to, I am living vicariously through TR's until I can get there next and have been enjoying the shopping ones especially! :thumbsup2

Glad to hear you are all safe from the storm.

Safe travels to WDW today BrooklynnsMommy!
I hope you, John and the girls have a fantastic time at CBR.
The pool looks so fun and the resort is beautiful.
Enjoy and I wish for everything to go smoothly with your MIL. :goodvibes

Besides...how bad could it be you are at Disney! :woohoo:

....for you Memom as I'm sure you wish you were joining your girls today.

Wow Jill you did great with packing in that short amount of time!:thumbsup2
I hope you have a great time.:)

Happy Friday!!

Have a great trip Jill, we loved CSR! It's our second favorate moderate with POFQ still in first place. Looking forward to following along! I just told Jamie last night it's about time for a long weekend at Disney :goodvibes

I wouldn't say that; it pretty nice to get to sit and talk with you. I'm sure it would be the same with Jill and the girls.

Have a great time Jill!!!

Yes, we are safe. We did not get any bad storms. The wind blew some with rain and thunder for a little while, but that is all. I think we are all a little skittish due to last April. Have a great weekend everyone!
