We booked our cruise a couple weeks ago, but a friend of mine just recently told me about DISboards so I've been avidly reading the threads for this cruise. This will be our family's 2nd Disney cruise (we sailed on the Dream Sept 2013) and loved it so much we are returning on the longer 7 day cruise. I'll be traveling with my dh, dd-age 11, ds-age 9 and ds-age 6. Looking forward to meeting you and will be joining the FE group.

HI All,
I just booked the Fantasy Cruise for 9/24/14. I see many of you booked a long time ago so I am a little late here. I am traveling with my 5 1/2 year old son and my Mom . None of us have ever been on a cruise. My mom has never taken a big vacation like this before so I am treating her to this so I am very excited for any tips to make it extra special for her. I did get a room with a Veranda for her as well. I have been googling all the things to know about a cruise and I came across the "Fish Extender" idea. Are those in this group doing it still? If so, roughly how many rooms would be involved and on average how much do you spend per room? Do you get the same gifts for all the kids or do are we told of the ages to alter the gifts per age? I am interested in doing this, just trying to understand what all is involved. I also see that people put magnets on the door? Is this pretty common and worth it if we did that? I also got put into 2nd dinner seating..is 8 ok time to eat on a cruise? normally we eat early lol. I am guessing I could get my son a snack if he doesn't make it till 8? Thanks again for any tips!

Hello everyone, very excited to join this group. We are a family of 5, kids are 13, 13 and 10. Yes, we have twins... a boy and a girl. Wife and I will be celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary. My family and I are just joining. We will be coming with my parents and our 2 kids, 3/4. I hope to join the FE group. I sent a private message but I'm not sure if you received it. I will send my info to the facebook group to.

I look forward to receiving my group and to meeting everyone. I think I missed what mixology was but I'm sure we would be interested in that too.

Just a quick update on the FE. We are currently at 61 cabins and have 10 full groups with another probably forming. New cabins will be accepted only until Aug 30. Each group is 10 cabins (except the last one which will be between 6 and 15 depending on how many more sign up). All lists for groups MICKEY, MINNIE, DONALD, DAISY, GOOFY, PLUTO, TINKERBELL, PETERPAN, and HOOK are final. If you cannot download your list from the facebook page, please let me know and I will email it to you. For any last minute changes (port upgrades, cancellations, etc) there will be a paper at my cabin (6669) for you to note changes. Please be sure to come note changes to your cabin on the day of embarkation before the early dinner (5:15, I think). Then everyone can check for changes to their group after dinner. There are no assigned delivery days but hopefully some will wait until later in the cruise to deliver. See you all real soon.

Welcome to the cruise group Eeyoregirl! I love Eeyore too

"FE" stand for Fish Extender. If you join the FE group, you'll hang a fish extender (you can google for tutorials or just buy one) outside your stateroom door, and all the members of each group put together little gifts to deliver to all the fish extenders in their group. Gifts can be handmade or just packs of store-bought goodies, either way you prefer!

I definitely recommend checking out our group's Facebook page. The link is up a couple pages on this thread, I believe.
