So Much fun for a Disney Fan-Ta-See onboard (fantasy) 9-27-14 Western Caribbean

i have made it a group under the same name, the page had no secuirty to stop spam

I'm not able to find it. My tech friend said if you make it secret, I won't be able to see it. If you can send my fb site an invitation, that would be great. My name is Susan Langford and my profile picture is of me and my very tall son covered in colored chalk after a color run 5k.

susan, I can't find a photo with that picture in it
as long as we can control the spam we can use the facebook page and not the group, thoughts?

if anyone wants access, you can just add me at Neal Howell, in London Ontario
my profile pic is a tattoo of jack jack from the incredibles

Hi all -

Just wanted to let you know I just changed cabins and our previous cabin 9670 which is Full Aft and has one of the largest veranda on the ship and the cabin is double the size is now available in the DCL site if you are interested.

We have stayed in this cabin twice and it is AMAZING!!!!! We only switched because we were able to get a 1 bedroom suite at a ridiculous price so we are moving to the front of the ship.

Hope someone here gets it

Hello all....Glad to see some action on this thread! It was Mindy and myself for a while there. ;) My name is Gena and I will be cruising with my husband and 2 kids ( dd, 10 and ds almost 7 at time of sailing) . This will be our first on a dcl. We have cruised in the past prior to having our kids. I am sure I'll have some questions for you seasoned disney cruisers as it gets closer. Here's one I just thought of... Do the pools get emptied and refilled everyday or every few days?

Best,
Gena

Hi.....just booked this cruise today.
It will be me and DH......my 4th Disney cruise (I think 11th cruise), 2nd on the Fantasy. Was on this cruise in March with DD but the itinerary is a bit different, so doing it again.

We will spend the night before at WDW and then go back after for a week or two, haven't decided yet on that.

Gina, I'm not sure if they empty the pools but I do know they get cleaned pretty well... DH loves to get up super early and sit in the hot tubs. He said he watched th clean the pools there. I've never been on the fantasy though so maybe someone who has could answer this question.
Welcome everyone! speaking of the fantasy, just curious who else is dressing up for pirate night. Just ordered our new pirate costumes. We got a great deal. pirate:

This will be my 6th cruise (2nd on Fantasy) and I have never seen them drain the pools. They do though close them and clean them very very well.

Just curious, but how do they clean a poll without draining it? And seeing as me and mine rarely go in them, I wonder what the percent of urine is in them if they are rarely/never drained and refilled? ;) It's just the kind of thing my brain thinks about.

They test the water for bad levels and water safety. They scrub them, use chemicals, etc. just like public pools, YMCA's, rec centers, hotels and private homes do.

I have read way back on these boards of them having to close and drain a pool on a cruise and someone said it took over a day to refill.

It's one of those things you have to trust they know what they are doing or chose not to use them.

is any one interested in doing a fish extender?

we are for sure wanting to do one

We enjoyed doing it on our last cruise, so wouldn't mind doing one again.
Last time when the list got over 30, it was divided in half.....and we ended up with 20 each. Very manageable.
Our problem is space......so I wouldn't do as much this time.
