So many trip reports . . . so little time. . .

We headed back to the resort for a rest.
On the way out I took a picture of the tree.

Everyone took a nap!! I was surprised that even Abby took a nap.

After the nap I took the kids down to the pool. DH napped a little longer :lmao:

The pool was so close, and Abby loved the water slide.

Ethan dipped a toe in the baby pool and decided it was too cold to swim. So he just played around with his little toys.

Then I got the kids dressed again and we headed back to the Magic Kingdom for Dinner, Spectro Magic, and Wishes.
Abby with the Poinsettia Mickey Head. By the end of the week these were changed to different flowers.

We decided to eat at Pecos Bill's in Frontierland. It is right at the end of the parade route so that gave us a little extra time to get some food and find a seat.
It was getting close to parade time and it was very hard to navigate through the crowd to Frontierland. Ron and Abby decided to have Turkey Legs. Ron reports that these are your standard smoked turkey legs. A little tough but a fun dinner.

I made my way into Pecos Bill and noticed they had computer ordering terminals. Hmmm no line, I'll give it a try. Very easy to use, I ordered myself a Barbecue Sandwich, french fries, chocolate pudding, and a bottle of water. For Ethan I ordered a hamburger, fries, grapes and a small bottle of water.

The food comes up pretty quickly despite the commotion on the other side of the line where a CM is taking orders. I get some ketchup, cheese sauce, and pickles at the toppings bar.

Then we tried to find a seat. I found a little ledge outside the restaurant that seemed perfect. But a CM came along and asked us to move. After that we didn't know where to sit. The porch area at the front of the restaurant was booked. I couldn't stand and eat it was too messy. Ron said there were some tables back at the patio type seating outside the restaurant. I headed back that way. Sure enough he was right. I don't know how I missed them. But they were behind the fence so we wouldn't be able to see the parade very well. I decided to eat then worry about watching the parade.
I thought the barbecue sandwich was very good. I was scared it would be fatty but it wasn't. Cheese sauce for the fries was yummy. The chocolate pudding was tasteless and icky. Even Abby thought so. Ethan really enjoyed his burger and fries too. Very good counter service meal!

Then I moved a little seat up to the edge of the patio for the kids to sit on. Some lady at a table made a little rude comment. I think she thought she was entitled to at least 5 feet in front of her. She could see over the kids though so I don't know what she was complaining about.

DH and I stood up near the fence. I had to look through the fence to see the parade though. There was a table behind me but the man sitting at it had his head down. I think he was asleep! So I pulled a little stool over and stood on it! DH stood next to me. He was tall enough to see over the fence with out a stool. Eventually the kids moved from being next to me to standing on another stool next to DH. It was the best view of a parade I had ever had. (bad disney flashback We tried to watch Spectro magic on a previous trip while standing near the castle. I was terrified. It was dark, I could hardly see Ron. He put Abby up on his shoulders, I think she was the only one who could see. All these people kept coming up behind me saying excuse me excuse me. I don't know where they thought they were going but as more and more came I could see less and less. Eventually I just stood by the stroller in the dark, making sure that no one stole my purse.)

Okay, back to the present. The parade was wonderful and when it was over we put the stools back and decided not to get in the mad rush. We just sat there while the kids played around. I started to wonder if we were going to be able to see wishes. We couldn't see the castle at all from there so I asked the CM who had started wiping down the tables. She said that we wouldn't be able to see it from there. So we started walking towards the castle.

We found a bench is Liberty Square to sit on where we could see the castle.
:woohoo: There were a couple trees in the way but we could see most of the show. I even saw Tinkerbell fly. Not a bad location for watching the show.
When it was over we walked very slowly out. Ethan had to stop for the bathroom. We went to the restrooms near the Crystal Palace and Ethan thought it was so neat to see Piglet in the restaurant! We walked over to the castle to get a nighttime picture. We hadn't ever gotten one of those. It wasn't quite 9:00 pm but the two photopass girls were already packing up their equipment. I asked them to please take our picture but they said they couldn't because they had already put away their equipment. It seems to me that they should stay put until the park clears out.

I thought we could hang around and hear the kiss goodnight so we looked at the Christmas tree near the front of the park. It got to be a little after 9:00 so I gave up and we headed back to the room. It was a great first day all in all. We were looking forward to going to Epcot the next day.

Great start! We almost stayed at POR until DH decided to buy our DVC so I can't complain!
You TR is making me excited for my next trip! Only 264 more days :lmao:

Well, I am not sure what I was thinking but I have hardly any pictures from this day.

We started out with a little breakfast from the food court at French Quarter. I brought my own drink, Iced Tazo Chai tea Latte. I ordered the snack size order of beignets for me and Abby to split. Ethan had a bowl of fruit loops and some milk, another snack credit. Ron had a breakfast plate, coffee and orange juice. Supplementing the dining plan with food from home really helped with the food budget. I brought organic yogurt, Tazo Chai tea (bought milk to add in the resort gift shop) Pop-Tarts, granola bars, and some mini water bottles. The moderate and deluxe hotels have refrigerators in the rooms to store your snacks.

We headed to the bus stop. As we walked through the lobby a CM was handing out plastic Mardi Gras :joker: coins. The kids really enjoyed putting them in the fountain in the lobby.

At Epcot the bag check area was crazy. DH and the kids waited for me on the other side and I took my bag through. I muddled my way through and we went to get in line at the entrance. THere weren't a lot of people in front of us but they seemed to make the whole issue very complicated. One man kept popping from one line to the other. Half his party was in one line and the other half was on the other line. Then when he got to the turnstile he had the rest of the group get in front of us. THen he put his stroller over the gate despite the fact that the CM was trying to open the gate for him. She had to duck so he wouldn't get hit in the head with the stroller. She was so exasperated:headache: she just stood there shaking her head. I wonder what kinds of goofy things she sees working there all day.

Anyways, we put our cards through, got our fingers scanned and headed into the park. The line for Spaceship Earth was over an hour long! :rolleyes1 We headed for our favorite Fast Pass Soarin'!!!! It looked like a madhouse headed into the Living with the Land Pavilion so I sent DH in. Meanwhile, me and the kids had noticed that the Nemo & Friends ride was a 5 minute wait so we headed that way and planned to meet up with DH after the ride. We were glad that the sign was correct and hopped on the Nemo ride. I think it is cute and a great addition to Epcot for families with small children.
DH was waiting for us at the exit. We looked at some of the fish in the tanks and took a quick bathroom break. I wanted to see Turtle Talk and it seemed to be starting soon so we headed that way. We didn't have to wait too long. It is a cute show and one of the kids asked Crush where he went to the bathroom. He was clever about it and hid behind a rock making a face kind of like this :rolleyes1 .
After the show we headed for Figment and Journey to Imagination. There was a line there! I think we waited 15 minutes for the ride. Poor little Ethan jumped about 5 feet when the lights went out towards the end of the ride. THat ride can really startle a person.

DH wanted a beer and we wanted some lunch so we headed to the World Showcase. DH couldn't find a beer on draft so we kept walking, Canada, UK, France. We decided to eat lunch in Morocco, I highly recommend the counter service there. We ordered a combo plate, a chicken plate, and chicken tenders for the kids. It was all yummy. The plates come with lamb or chicken or a combination of both, along with hummus, couscous with raisins, taboleh and a piece of bread. For desert you get baklava.

We saw, Aladdin, Jasmine and the Genie but the kids didn't want to wait in line to see them. We would see Jasmine at Dinner time.

Next we browsed the shops in Japan and bought some snacks, candy in the rice paper wrappers you can eat, and Pooky sticks. DD bought some really pretty candy sushi.

Then they saw the Kaki Gory stand. They shared a rainbow flavored snow cone and we headed to the American Pavillion.

IMG_0103.jpg

As we came to America! I told DH I wanted to watch the show, DH however wanted to find a beer still. As we stood there debating what to do we saw a couple walk by with a nice freshly made Funnel Cake. The seagulls were swarming this poor couple swooping down over them. The man tried to swat them away and the poor woman tried to walk quickly away from them. One of the birds swooped down and snatched the funnel cake right off her plate and onto the ground! Everyone around was so disappointed for these people. I suggested they go back to the stand and explain what happened and they would probably give them a fresh Funnel Cake.

DH decided to head to Germany for his beer. Me and the kids went into the America! Pavillion to see the show. We had the pleasure of hearing the Voices of Liberty sing a couple songs. Such beautiful voices!!! You really must hear them if you can. Then we headed up to the auditorium. I was surprised the kids really enjoyed the show. Ethan kept asking me if they were real people. When we left the show we found DH who was quite upset. One of those seagulls had pooped on his iPhone. I gave him a few Wet Ones Wipes and he cleaned himself up. We decided to head back to the Living with The Land Pavilion to use our fast passes. At the entrance to the Land a CM was telling everyone that they were out of fastpasses for Soarin' (it was about 2:00 pm) We went on in and got down to the entrance. A CM double checked that Ethan was tall enough to ride and we were on our way. Despite having the fastpasses we had to wait 20 minutes to ride. We were lucky and sat in the top row so no feet were hanging down. On previous trips Ethan didn't like this ride. Before we boarded Ron told Ethan he could have a special snack if he didn't cry. I was worried Ethan might be scared again. We buckled him up with out any problems and we took off! He really seemed to enjoy it this time!

After the ride we went over to the food area to get our treats. Ethan picked out Key Lime Pie. The lady behind the counter told us Happy Anniversary and gave me and DH a couple of chocolate chip cookies. Abby, wanted a rice krispy treat. We also selected a piece of chocolate cake.
This ended up being way too many sweets and we threw half of it away. The cookies were really sweet and none of us really liked them. We prefer homemade chocolate chip cookies. The Ethan ate the meringue off the top of the key lime pie. The pie itself was very sour and had a really soft texture. It was like a custard pie. The kids ate a couple bites of the rice crispy. The chocolate cake was yummy we finished it!

THen we headed to the Living with the Land ride a family favorite.

Living with the Land was a lovely boat ride as usual. At the end of the ride someone's child jumped out of the boat before it came to a complete stop. Her poor mother was so embarrassed and flustered.

We headed out of the Land Pavilion we weren't sure if we wanted to go back to the room and rest or stay until our ADR. Ron wanted to go back to the room. I just didn't think that it was worth the trouble. Epcot is huge and walking back to the bus stop and then walking to the room and then walking back just seemed overwhelming to me. So we headed towards the exit. I convinced DH to ride Spaceship Earth and then we headed back to the World Showcase. We took the long way around the World Showcase to Norway. I got a glass of wine in Italy and Ron got a beer somewhere along the way. We looked at the little model trains in Germany.

We got to Norway around 6:00. Our reservation was for 6:45. I really wanted to ride the Maelstrom but Ron thought that we didn't really have enough time to ride it and check in before 6:45. It had a 30 minute wait time posted. So we got some fastpasses for the ride and went in to look at the gift shop. Ron went to the men's room. The kids and I looked around in the gift shop it isn't exactly the most interesting shop. Ethan played with the swords but I had to take it away when he whacked Abby on the head.
I checked out the perfumes, I sprayed one on, then realized it was a men's cologne. :headache: It was about 6:20 by then so we tried to check in. I told the lady that we were a little early but she said that was fine. She then told me that we would probably be seated close to the time of our ADR but not to go anywhere. So we sat on the curb next to the entrance. The kids played with their little Peter Pan toys. The hostess called name after name. The kids reminded me frequently that they were hungry. It got darker and darker. Each group she called was huge, parties of 7, 8 , or 10 seemed quite common. At 6:45 we stood up, surely she would call our Royal Family soon??
At 6:55 I went back up to the podium. I told the girl we had checked in and had been waiting but she hadn't called our name. She went and found a manager with a little computer and I told him our name. They just shrugged and said something happened but they didn't know what. Lovely.
We waited a little longer and finally she called our name and we got in line to get our picture taken. Ethan wouldn't let go of my leg so Abby was the only one in the picture with Belle.
abbybelle.jpg

So finally we sat down. We ordered the kids the pirate punch. They both wanted Captain Hook light ups.
I wanted some iced tea. DH ordered the Voss Artesian Water from Norway.
We had a hard time deciding what to order. DH settled on the Grilled Vegetable stuffed pasta. I order the mustard glazed salmon. Abby ordered the kids pizza. Ethan decided to try the ravioli with meatballs.

Then we went to the cold buffet. There were several salads I enjoyed. A beet salad with sliced granny smith apples was very refreshing. I also remember a lovely cucumber salad and a pasta salad. I also had some garlic herb cream cheese with some smoked salmon. I passed on the pickled herring. Ethan ate a couple of pieces of sliced turkey. Abby liked the beet salad too. Ron had some peel and eat shrimp and some of the cheese cubes. They weren't too exotic though just muenster and swiss.

The princesses were lovely and came around very quickly.
IMG_0104.jpg
IMG_0105.jpg

Jasmine gave Ethan a little kiss!
IMG_0108.jpg

IMG_0109.jpg

Cinderella talked to Ethan about him liking pirates. She asked him if she wanted to meet Captain Hook and he nodded. She told him if he was scared of Captain Hook when he meet him all he needed to do was make a Click Clock noise and Captain Hook would be scared of Ethan!
IMG_0110.jpg

IMG_0111.jpg

But our entrees seemed to take forever. We didn't get them until after 8:00. Finally they arrived and we were disappointed right away. Ron's pasta had a Roasted Red pepper sauce on them that hadn't been described on the menu. My piece of salmon was tiny and over cooked. Abby's pizza was only 4 inches and was well done. It looked about as good as a tombstone pizza. She didn't eat 1/4 of it and I don't blame her. Ethan's ravioli were soggy and over cooked as well. They had a pool of water in the bottom of the bowl with the tomato sauce over the top. He did like the fact that they were shaped like Mickey Heads!

Our waitress was nowhere to be found so there wasn't anything to be done. We nibbled our entrees and waited for dessert. That also seemed to take an eternity.

Dessert was probably the best part of the meal. They served us a schoolbread, rice cream and the flourless chocolate cake. These were all yummy. And we shared them but Ethan liked the chocolate cake the Best. Abby and Ron liked the schoolbread the best and I loved the rice cream.

We finally left the restaurant around 8:20. It is really dark around Norway at that time of night. People were finding there seats for Illuminations but we had decided we wanted to head back to the hotel. We were tired and Abby wanted to swim again. It was supposed to rain the next day and get cooler so we didn't think that she would be able to swim again.

We headed towards the entrance of Epcot and the bus stop. We had to wait a long time for a bus to come, probably the longest wait of the whole trip. There were a lot of people waiting for the bus already and when the bus finally showed up it filled up quickly. I told Ron I didn't want to stand on the bus, I was too tired and asked if we could just wait for the next one. He thought that was a good idea and so did the women in line behind me who was holding a sleeping toddler. She said she wasn't going to try and hold her child on a moving bus but would wait. Some people behind her crammed themselves onto that crowded bus and then it left.
Another bus pulled up shortly and we loaded up. This bus driver was a speedy driver and kind of agressive. He ended up being in the left lane when we got to the resort and couldn't make the right turn into Port Orleans French Quarter. So he went up the road to Riverside, went into Riverside and through all their bus stops before going back to French Quarter.

We headed back to the room and the kids put their swimsuits on. I put mine on too (but hoping I wouldn't have to swim) I don't care for swimming too much and it wasn't that warm out! I was relieved from my swimming obligations before I could get wet by Ethan's need to head back to the room to use the bathroom. Ron agreed to supervise Abby's swimming and Ethan and I headed back to the room. He took his time and soon enough Ron and Abby came back too. They had tried out the pool and visited the hot tub as well. The pool was too cold and the hot tub was too crowded so they decided to call it a night. Abby and Ethan took a bath instead and were asleep around 10:00. We had an early ADR for Tusker House at the Animal Kingdom. I wasn't able to get a wake up call set up for our room on this trip. When I pushed the button on the phone that was supposed to be for wake up calls it dialed Disney's Magical Express instead. So we set the Clock Radio and went to sleep.

Well it's been almost a month since I posted. I got distracted by another trip report and I have been reading:surfweb: instead of writing.

Well, where was I. . . .

Wednesday at the Animal Kingdom. DH's least favorite park. I love the animals, so for me it is probably my third favorite park. The Magic Kingdom is my very favorite. Epcot is second and Hollywood Studios I could take it or leave it. Toy Story Mania is a big improvement to that park, and I think they need to add at least one more ride on that caliber to make me really excited about visiting it.

Back to the Animal Kingdom. We were off and running early, our day was starting with a delicious breakfast at Tusker House! We were running late though, we managed to get to the bus stop and a bus came along and we were made it there before Park Opening. A CM found our names on the reservations list and let us into the park. Other CM's pointed the way to Africa and we arrived at the restaurant about 10 minutes late. They snapped a picture of us and then led us to our seats in a back room of the restaurant. We had a very friendly waitress and a lovely meal.
Daisy came around
IMG_0112.jpg

Donald came around

Mickey
IMG_0117.jpg

And Goofy
IMG_0120.jpg

There was a cute little asian couple sitting next to us and they just loved the characters. They hardly spoke english but they seemed to be having such a wonderful time and they were so cute. They really added to the magical atmosphere. Our waitress brought us a lovely cupcake but we were too full to eat it. I did taste it though it was extremely sweet.:rolleyes1
IMG_0121.jpg

Can you see Ethan's Mickey waffles in that picture he only eats the ears off of them. :rotfl:

So we kind of rolled out of the restaurant and headed for Safari!

We were in the very back row of the truck :thumbsup2 which made for a bumpy ride but a great view. Here is the truck that was loading up behind us.

IMG_0122.jpg

IMG_0123.jpg

It was a cool, cloudy morning and the rhinos weren't interested in working.
IMG_0124.jpg

We bumped along jostled and jolted by the truck. I was airborne a few times and the kids got a big kick out of it. I worried that Ethan would be bumped right out of the truck but he wasn't

The birds were interesting, this guy looked a little foreboding
IMG_0129.jpg

These guys were taking it easy
IMG_0134.jpg

But, then came my favorites. . . . .

IMG_0136.jpg

She decided to follow us
IMG_0139.jpg

IMG_0141.jpg

The Mother Giraffe was walking on the road in front of our truck,
after a little while she moved to the side of the road and waited for her baby and we zoomed off.
IMG_0143.jpg

We saw some of these guys
IMG_0150.jpg

The elephants and the rhinos were pretty far off and we could hardly see the lions. The Giraffes made it worth our trip and of course we helped save little red.

Nancy, I was going to read all the way through and then comment....

...but then I came to the part where DH got his haircut at the Barber Shop....with glitter and everything.....and I just had to tell you how cute and funny that was! :rotfl: He did look "adorable" !!

Okay, back for the rest!

Kathy

Hey Nancy! I wanted to let you know I'm reading along! :thumbsup2
Thanks for reading along, I hope you are still hanging around!
Great start! We almost stayed at POR until DH decided to buy our DVC so I can't complain!
You TR is making me excited for my next trip! Only 264 more days :lmao:
If DH decides to buy DVC of course you can't complain. Where is your home villas? Is that were you will be staying on your next trip?
Great start. Can't wait for more.
Hoping to finish this one.
Great trip report. Count me in. :thumbsup2
Thanks for reading!
Great shots! I love the Tusker house and the Safari ride!
Tusker House is yummy and you get in the park early! We walked right on the Safari ride we waited maybe only 10 minutes.

Nancy, I was going to read all the way through and then comment....

Awww thanks! Stick around for some more!

That morning was pretty chilly so the animals weren't up and about. We headed for Pangani Forest Exploration Trail. Somehow we had missed this attraction on our previous trips. I really like the gorillas so I was hoping to see them playing around.

IMG_0159.jpg

Ethan played with Captain Hook on these skulls.

Then we came to the Gorillas

IMG_0160.jpg

IMG_0162.jpg

This guy was sleeping in. . .

The Meerkats wouldn't come out of their holes so we didn't see them at all.

After Pangani we headed to the Wildlife Express Train the kids made some pressed pennies while we waited for the train.
IMG_0163.jpg
IMG_0166.jpg

As we road the train around a CM explained that the animals go inside every night. Each evening a different sound calls them to their dinner. We passed the buildings the animals are housed in and came around to the Conservation Station. Abby announced she didn't want to get off the train. Okay, this took me by surprise but the train ride was pleasant enough and there was a breeze blowing so maybe we should head back anyways. We got off the train and started heading towards ???? I don't plan out our park days just which park and what restaurants we will go to. So we were feeling kind of tired and the weather was getting a little windy it seemed like a storm was blowing in. I overheard the man behind me talking about Rain coming in about 20 minutes. I hate getting rained on, I really don't like ponchos either. DH gets impatient and he was getting tired. I thought a nap might be a good idea. It would be nice to wait out the weather in our cozy room instead of a crowded gift shop! We headed out of the park towards the bus stops. It was about 12:00 and people were headed into the parks so we were walking against the flow most of the time. As we got to the bus stop we saw a POFQ bus was there loading, it was about to pull away from the curb another bus kept him from pulling out!!!
The driver saw us and we boarded.

We beat the bad weather back to the resort and took a few pictures, the dark clouds were rolling in though. . .
IMG_0168.jpg

IMG_0171.jpg

IMG_0172.jpg

We got in our room and kicked off our shoes and then we heard the rain start pouring!! Safe and dry in our room :cloud9:

Ahh. I love POFQ! :goodvibes We've stayed there twice.

Glad you didn't get wet!!

Sometimes its nice just to chill at the resort.

Kathy

The Rain, Rain, Rain, came down, down, down. . .

We enjoyed our break in our room, DH took a nap I sewed some buttons on Abby and Ethan's shirts for the next day. Ethan played with his Peter Pan Playset we had purchased in the Hotel gift shop on Tuesday Night. Abby asked us repeatedly when we were going back to the park. She claimed she didn't need a nap and she was bored. :rolleyes1 I watched the weather channel to make sure we wouldn't be drenched once we got back to the park.

DH napped and napped. . .

Abby begged and begged "when are we going back, when are we going back, why does Daddy have to take a nap. . ."

Finally, Ron got up and asked if the rain had stopped. I reassured him that it had stopped and we finally headed back.

We got to the bus stop and waited, it was virtually deserted. Soon, another couple joined us. And we waited and waited and waited.
IMG_0173.jpg

We waited for quite a while, and I looked longingly at our van parked so conveniently nearby. The resort had been rather quiet and parking is somewhat limited at French Quarter so our van had been sitting there across the road from the bus stop all week. It was nice to be able to see it there and if we needed anything it was easy to get out of the van after we got off the bus. So I suggested we take the van back to the park since we were planning on eating at Animal Kingdom Lodge for Dinner.

That worked out well, and soon we were on our way with nary a bus in sight. We parked way in the back of the parking lot and hopped on the tram, the trams always give me such a nostalgic feel. On our trips as a kid I got a really big kick out of them. Such a marvelous idea to give people a ride from their cars to the entrance. Then the wind blows in your hair as you fly along.

We headed into the park to get our lunch. Abby was so excited. She had our refillable Animal Kingdom drink bottle. One of the those big containers topped with an elephant head and a straw coming out of his head she was dying to get some Sprite in that thing. The anticipation of it had been excruciating to her. So we headed to the Counter Service restaurant near Yak and Yeti.

Ron ordered the shrimp lo mein with a frozen lemonade and a bottle of water, I ordered the kids a cheeseburger with fries, and fried rice and a bottle of water. I ordered myself a Chicken salad with a Mango pie and a bottle of water and we paid $.99 for a refill of the Elephant drink.

We found a lovely place to sit next to this water feature

My yummy mango pie
IMG_0181.jpg

Abby and Ethan split the cheeseburger, the whole family tried a bit of the noodles from the Shrimp Lo Mein. My salad was edible nothing really excited me about it. The Mango pie was yummy.

After lunch and a bathroom break we headed to the Maharajah Jungle Trek.
IMG_0186.jpg

I love the animals in here. The tigers are so majestic, but it was cold that day and they were in hiding.

The Bats

IMG_0182.jpg

IMG_0183.jpg

The theming is really nice along this trail

IMG_0184.jpg

IMG_0185.jpg

The cool weather didn't bother these guys
IMG_0188.jpg

We were trying to get to It's tough to be a bug but the parade was starting. So it was rather difficult. Some CM's pointed the way around and we passed a lovely area set up for a private party. We worked our way down to Discovery Island and ended up at a gift shop across the walkway from the entrance to It's tough to be a bug. The crowd was thick and we had to wait until the parade ended before we could cross. So I took a couple pictures.

IMG_0189.jpg

IMG_0190.jpg

Finally the parade ended. We squeezed our way across the walkway, with people going in all different directions. But we made it together, and we started walking down the trial to the show. At this point I consider myself to be "inline" for the show. But as we walked along people kept trying to pass us which I thought was really rude. We were still pushing the stroller so we were keeping a reasonable pass but some younger guests kept trying to go around us. Then we go to the point where you have them park the stroller for you and then a lot of people went around us. I thought that was rather rude but I kept my mouth shut. The park was really crowded and I don't do well with crowds. On previous visits I usually walked the pathway alone so it all caught me by surprise. I knew that even if they went around us I wouldn't miss the show so I tried not to let it bother me.

We got to the tree and got our glasses. I always wait towards the back so I don't end up being first in a row.

IMG_0192.jpg

Abby had gotten cold so she put Ethan's sweatshirt on.

As the theater doors opened people shoved their way into the theater. We hung back and went in the first door. But we ended up at the end of the row towards the front. No worries, Ethan had been fussing about whether it was 3D and if the water was going to spray him so I didn't mind being on the end since it gave me a quick escape route. Ron told Ethan to hide his face if he was scared and I gave him my jacket to cover up with if he wanted. I think he stayed under the coat the whole time. I quickly picked him up at the end of the show when the bugs leave "first" We left together at the end without any meltdowns.

I haven't been able to sit through the Bug's attraction yet so I think Ethan is pretty brave.
